Until the day comes --soon I'm afraid-- when there will be a ban on renders that display more than 10% of uncovered skin area, men artists will continue to praise the beauty of the female figure.
Until this fatal, fast approaching, day... :)
"That's another fine mess you got me in to!" -- Oliver Hardy
Yep, certainly agree with ye olde Doctor Geep, you betcha. That is absolutely, positively absolutely the reason why most men up to the age of 150 purchase the most current revision of Poser and the latest and greatest Daz Vickie and search the Poser world over for the latest almost clothing or battle gear to do battle in temples.
One can whip up a dream Vicky in seconds, place her in a Stonemason temple with a sword (you gotta have that sword) and throw in a stock pose with stock lighting and stock expressions-Poser 4 expressions will do nicely and he has his masterpiece. Oh I forgot some type of battlegear with plenty of air conditioning. Jan
Quote - I've been wondering. Is that the reason most male users get Poser? or daz or whatever. to create sexy picures/movies.
I have to say yes because for example, notice most women images made are always sexy characters, or attemps at it. you rarely see someone who makes a render of an ugly female character.
and don't even get me started on content makers. Always making the sexiest stuff around. tight pants, miniskirts and dresses.
And the problem with this is???????????

It's sinful. Your hair will fall, your teeth will rot and of course, when the time comes, you'll go straight to hell...
re: ........... " ... go straight to hell ..."
* *Yeah, maybe so, but you'll be so busy shaking hands with all of your friends that you won't mind the heat. .............................. Maybe ???

the main reason you see so much tight-fitting clothing is not that it's modeled that way, but that a lot of it's textures. 5 minutes with a texture, etc., in Poser, and you've got (literally) sprayed-on clothing...;) Modeling loose clothing is a lot more complicated...
I mean, besides sexy, what is it you'd rather see?
I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit
anahl nathrak uth vas betude doth yel dyenvey..;)
you're right pakled but i mean... Witih poser/etc guys can make their fantasies come true . so i think most get poser for that reason aside from any art interest they may have.
I mean where else can guys create any fantasy they want. nowhere. adult movies are just created by others you're given what they give you. but with Poser, guys can make any situation imaginable anything they themsellves want.
I know many guys hide it and say they dont do any naughty poser stuff but i'm sure they do.
I'm going to assume h ere that 80 percent of Poser male users have had sexy thoughts and have created sexy poser poses or themes or animations at least once. and they keep going back to it.. but then they give it up and become more serious.
well at least that's me. Sometimes i want to make some sexy posing, but then i give up cause it takes too much time and then Why do it if you have adult movies already made by others.. and usually unleess you spend hours and years studying how to create perfect animation, your stuff will suck...
So, i usually give up on the sexy stuff and go back to doing projects that are not Sexy related.
josterD,
I got news for you... Art (either "serious" or otherwise) is nothing more than a tool to express one's visions and fantasies (sexual ones included). It goes for Benvenuto Cellini as well as for the nice old lady painting flowers in her spare time. (Visions differ of course).
"That's another fine mess you got me in to!" -- Oliver Hardy
Ironically, I don't fall into that category.. Yeah I like the sexy figures and all but I'm kind of forced into creating mostly female characters mainly because the lack of cool clothing for the male characters. It seems there are 200 clothing varieties for every 2 M4 clothes out there.
Some of the clothing for the guys are also hmmmm. how can I say... on the male stripper side of things. If there were more tough guy clothing out there then I would make more guy renders. By tough I mean more than just soldier gear and barbarian wear. The newest tough guy clothing is the Ronin clothes from Daz so now I'm going to wait 5 months before the next one comes out.
The female models have it going on, with a good mixture of clothing styles. Would I rather make a sexy V4 than a Stripper M4.. Of course, but I'm still hoping that one day M4 will get some really cool clothes.
By the way if you want attention then put any picture spurs the imagination of sex. I put one my pictures from my gallery in another site and it got 2000 hits in less than a day and then got banned. ha ha ha. Who would have thought an Anime influenced image with a slightly see through shirt would cause so much trouble. The only thing I learned that day was that .. some guys out there either need to start looking at better looking women, or getting out more. ha ha ha.
Not all pics are of naked sexy women, and everyone has his/her own idea of what is sexy.
It is simply easier to do a bald , naked vicky , in a temple , with a sword (sword, temple optional) The sword and temple make it art , where just a naked woman is porn ;)
I'm from Wisconsin and a badger could take out wolverine with one paw tied behind his back . !
All Ancient Greek statues are naked. So... were the Greeks pornographers?
A recurring question...
All naked women are not sexy. However some non-sexy women are more sexually attractive than the "sexy" ones... (And so is Alan Alda...)
I'm getting very confused, comrades...

Quote - > Quote - FightingWolf, Would I be safe to bet that this was an American site?...
Yeah it was an American site. I thought it would be ok to post the image there because the site had tons of women who were willing to do those self phone pictures with them showing their butts in tight jeans. So I thought "hey. there shouldn't be any trouble with what I post then." I guess real women trying to look sexy in tight jeans would be considered ok, but a fake artistic picture was too much for them.

Sex sells. Guys like to look at sexy things, girls like to look at pretty things. Oftentimes the pretty things have a sexy tone to them.
I don't use Poser to "live out fantasies", I have no delusion that I'm a middle aged fat woman who likes to use a computer and make pretty pictures. I don't live vicariously through the images I upload.

Looking at my gallery I'm sure it seems like thats all I do with it. I do more with poser but its all I ever post here as thats about all anybody seems interested in.

If you tell a lie, what does that make you? A liar.....
If you steal, what does that make you? A thief.....
If you kill someone, what does that make you? A muderer....
If you're a male and use Poser, what does that make you? A pervert......
Anyway I'm not taking your question to serious, as you can see, but if I would, the answer would be, 'no of course not!'. There are males who use poser for other things then portraying their lust and sensual desires. But I guess a lot of males do use Poser in something related to sexy, sensual or beyond that. It's not limited to males though, enough females involved in it as well. Don't tell anyone, but a lot of the vendors who sell us all of this perverted content are actually females.

Yeah I'll make "sexy stuff" occasionally, but I'm more concerned with trying to make every day people in every day situations. You have no idea how annoying it is to try to find clothing for a figure and find the majority of it is slutty thong clothing that's apparently for street use. Where's the sweaters and loose fitting sweat pants? Normal stuff that you'd see a college girl where when she's just lounging around, not Bikini Killer 4000.
This recurring topic is like Poser's version of the "culture wars", isn't it?

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking. He apologizes for this. He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.
Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below. His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.
Oops, sorry Magnus .... I should have directed my comment/statement/inquiry to ...

Ooooo, hey FightingWolf ...... let's see it ... your pic ..... you can post it here,no? :sneaky:

Judging from that thought, one could say Hollywood is a porn industry.
Ok, I'm exaggerating, but still. Very few people appreciate ugly art. Apart from gore art, terror, art that critiques society... you WILL see a vast majority of depictions of beauty, in all forms of art.
I am female, and heterosexual. And it's not hard to see my art has a tendency to be sensual, even my hand-drawn artwork. I'd depict more men, if I were able to draw/render them properly handsome (my style is too feminine though. So I refrain from making all those sissy flowery guys LOL)
It's just natural for the human being. We like beauty. It's not just the male users.

The reason I purchased Poser .
It was recommended by the Mac store as a first class animation programme !!!!! for my educational projects.
Does it work ? Well, to date my little Grey cell can just about put an animation together.
Do I use Poser to turn me on? no way I have great time with my friends and co worker's
And to date , have no need.
As the out of date computer said.
"My diodes all down one side are hurting me !"
Maybe that's what acne ridden sexually frustrated teenagers want but speaking as a 51 year old married man I can state my main reason for using Poser (or Photoshop or paint/canvas/board/pencil/brush/ink) is to make pictures of any description.
This next remark will probably get me into trouble but what the hell...
