THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: A DO-ABLE EXERCISE PROGRAM

I'm sure this will work for many of us...

Begin by standing or sitting on a comfortable surface, where you have    plenty of room at each side.

With a 5-lb potato bag in each hand, extend your arms straight out    from your sides and hold them there as long as you can.

Try to reach a full minute, and then relax.  Each day you'll find that    you can hold this position for just a bit longer.

After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato bags.

Then try 50-lb potato bags and then eventually try to get to where you    can lift a 100-lb potato bag in each hand and hold your arms straight    for more than a full minute.  (I'm at this level.)

After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each bag.

I swear, some days it's not worth chewing through the restraints...

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

Bobby? I have days when I can hardly lift the mouse never mind a bag of potatoes. Are you on steroids?

But Bobby.... *HEALTH MESSAGE:

Bobby, I'm happy to see I am not the only exercise fanatic.  I have a daily regime that seems to work for me also.  I lift about 190 pounds out of bed every morning and sometimes twice a day if I take a nap. (Weight varies with meals the day before)

Mine:

  1. Gather snacks and beverages and place within reach of recliner/comfy chair.

  2. Sit in recliner/comfy chair.

  3. Lift laptop computer onto lap so that weight is supported by tummy and thighs.

  4. Move into reclining position. (With comfy chair, place feet on footstool and make sure soft cushions have all the stuffing pushed up to one end).

  5. Grasp mouse with dominant hand and move it as necessary.

  6. Continue while occasionally reaching for snacks and beverages as desired.

  7. Continue until drowsy. Remove laptop from lap and take nap.

  8. When nap ends, repeat from step 1 until mealtime.

NOTE: This exercise program can be adapted for a destop computer but I don't recommend it because of the risk of back strain.

This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.
