Hello, this is the actual list of Poses (2nd post). As you see it is almost finished - only about 250 Poses (or so) are left until I break the 5000 Poses mark (I have to make some more to compensate the poses that will be only available for adult people (or people who don't need or want the adult stuff). So here goes the first question: ----------------------------------------------- I think nudity as itself is not an adult topic ... a lot of art contains nudity and this CD should finally rated as PG 13 or so and I think a teenager has seen a nude person before - I hope I'm right at this point) ? ----------------------------------------------- My second and third question is for the database that will be on the CD also ... and finally makes the whole thing workable: ----------------------------------------------- What would you prefer: - a fixed angle of camera-settings for all the renders (and when - what kind of - I think about if an isometric view of the pose) - an interpretation of mine to have a perfect view to the pose - more than one POV (point of view) for one pose (but please decide here if you'ld better have more poses - or a better usability throught the database - because then I have to render twice 5000 poses and you can imagine this isn't so less work ...) ----------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------- Do you prefer to have the poses stored in a zip-file (mac-users please help me - are you able to view zip-files) and downloadable from the database directly or do you prefer to have the poses stored as they are (unzipped in directorys). ----------------------------------------------- A question for the sales-specialists: ----------------------------------------------- Am I allowed to give away a Winzip (the shareware-version) with this CD ?? ----------------------------------------------- To the hand-poses: I'm not sure if I'll have the Vicky and Mike-hands ready before the CD is finished - so I'm not sure they will be on it ... but if not - I'll give them away for free later on - I will do so anyhow - because this is (sorry, for some persons who think different) nothing that is sellable and in this shape not copyrightable - it is simple to easy to make a hand-pose. BTW: Release date will be beginning of October ... After this I'll try to bring my free site back and go one with some free poses for special characters that are free available - just for the case someone is blaming me for the fact I'm going to the only-sellerfolks. Please don't take this as an offense to the sellers - I see the need of doing this and I highly appreciate a lot of products which are selling through the store but ... War mal wieder zu schnell mit dem Senden... Die Kameraposition sollte die Pose genau Wiedergeben, also keine Fixe Kameraposition. Die Vorschaubilder ob nackt oder nicht? Hmmm ich bin 35 Jahre alt, ist mir egal. Eltern mit Kinder sollten verantwortungsvoll mit dem Inhalt der CD umgehen fertig. Mazak

Zipped files are fine for Mac users. Faster download would be a plus for me!

1/ A single view for the poses is fine--we can quickly find the best view. 2/ Unzipped, please, so we don't have to go through another step to use the poses (if there's room on the CD for unzipped files, that is) I can unzip files on my Mac, but it takes time away from getting to the poses immediately. 3/ I don't imagine there are lots of minors who are going to buy the CD, so I wouldn't worry about "nudity" in the thumbnails....

1. Use whatever view shows the pose best. 2) Unzipped files on a CD are the norm, but few PoserVolk don't have the capability to unzip a file. 3) The thumbnails are so small that nudity on them wouldn't arouse a prisoner in the Chateau d'If.

Huolong: to point 3) nope - the images in the database won't be small (about 300 x 300) - this IS important - so you can decide if you CAN use the pose AND you can see the HANDS detailed also ...

Your comfort factor is more important than nudity to show the poses to us. We're after the pose, not the thumbnail.

Huolong ... ever tried to find the pose you're searching for among 5000 poses (lol) ?? Errrrrrrrrrm - I have to do this all the time - in fact I've often enough recreated a pose because I can't find this pose ("damn I have done this pose before ... but where did I stored it") anymore. Well - in that case I have to face the comfort-factor a little bit ;-). And anyhow - I as well need this database to find a pose quicker ...

Finding your poses (and others) in the midst of inspiration is a serious problem ... I tried using the explorer utility but it locks up my computer all too often. I have no idea what I'm going to do with all the poses I already have PLUS your new ones. Woe is me. Problems, problems, problems.

There are really three comments I'd make: I like to know what the POV of a pose is before I apply it, it helps pick between two near-identical poses. I guess that means I want the camera at a default. For best effect though, you want to use images that are most appealing to you, the artist who created the poses. Most useful would be two images...that would be the most work too :) I agree that unzipped is best. PZ2 files are small, you don't need to compress them, and maybe Poser5 will let you browse for cr2, pz2 and pp2 files so we could run from CD! You may have already thought of this, but I have a request for you in terms of naming files. I've noticed that often your poses are named Pose1, Pose2, etc. As long as they're stored within the proper zip file or folder, that's no issue. If you want to sort them differently it's a problem though. I'd suggest you use your folder naming scheme for the first few chars. For example, if the Poser Male and staff poses are named "PM-staf01" or something. Thanks for asking for input! GrayMare

If you're planning to do an unzipped CD, please drop me a note before - both zipped/unzipped versions will be fine for Mac, but (depending on the way how you create the master) it might be possible to simplify the thing a bit further without too much extra efford.
