I looked in my "photographic archive" some images that matches for this challenge... I hope I succeeded in my intention!
The Elephant Fountain is a monument built between 1735 and 1737 by the architect Giovanni Battista Vaccarini. It is located in the center of the Piazza del Duomo in Catania. Its main element is a statue of black basalt depicting an elephant, commonly called "u Liotru" and considered the emblem of Catania.
On the back is an Egyptian obelisk of granite, 3.66 meters high.
@Maria This reminds me of a black elephant tea pot my sister got me. Beautiful shot, great TAAAALLLL lines :-P
@MC Love how the picture is saturated in red, makes me think its hot there! Beautiful shot and thanks for spreading the warmth :-)
STILL searching for my 3rd shot, good thing we're only half way done the month.
Lashia

"To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them."

@Lashia and myrrhluz : thank you so much...I was on the terrace of my (cheaper !) hotel at Costa Adeje, looking at these chimneys and thinking "there is a photo ! there is a photo..." When I got back home, I was not very pleased with the photos....but after almost two months (as usual !), I said to myself "this one is not too bad".
I found another "vertical lines" photo taken back in 2006 in England. This photo, let's call it "Pencils", was taken in the playground of a primary school, where ? I can't remember, maybe not too far from Nottingham.
@ dochtersions : thanks Mies, I'm glad you like it...you should spend some time in France and visit this bambouseraie which is magnificent and very popular (it's crowded in the summertime !).
@ mariogiannecchini : thanks much. To be true, I'm impressed by the quality of your photos...and there are bamboos too where you live !
