We have another Architectural Model ready for you, it is our Country Church. There is a small imperfection in this model. The first buyer to find the right imperfection of SAM'S 3D Country Church model, will win a free SAM'S 3D model of your choice. Mike and Sharen

SAMS3D ( ) posted Tue, 21 August 2001 at 7:42 PM

No, sorry....we actually didn't think about that. That is a good point though, and we are going to note that. Sharen PS: That is not the imperfection we are talking about though.

Doorknobs! TMG (can't blame a guy for trying!) : )

jamball77 ( ) posted Tue, 21 August 2001 at 9:24 PM

No back door? Makes it easier for the groom to escape if he gets cold feet.

jamball77 ( ) posted Tue, 21 August 2001 at 9:25 PM

If not the back left hand window doesn't appear to be in. He could just leap out.

atthisstage ( ) posted Tue, 21 August 2001 at 9:30 PM

The window too close to the smokestack that's way too short to be legal... Does that cover it well enough? (grin)

Niles ( ) posted Tue, 21 August 2001 at 10:51 PM

is it in the roof?

pokeydots ( ) posted Tue, 21 August 2001 at 11:29 PM

I guess, no church service time on the sign, or bible quote! :)

bell tower should be on the rear end?

aleks ( ) posted Wed, 22 August 2001 at 1:31 AM

i got it! three steps infront, only two steps back? :-)

SAMS3D ( ) posted Wed, 22 August 2001 at 3:54 AM

So, many responses...let's see if I can answer them in order: Pokeydots - not to worry, I see your order, I will be sending it to you in the next 30 minutes, and the haunted house is on it's way to being completed, and you can't possibly see the imperfection in the picture, unless your eyes are like a cats, the sign is empty so you can put in your own time and quotes. Sorry all incorrect. Jamball77 - all doors are in place and the windows are all set too-sorry you are incorrect. atthisstage - window is actually within code. Niles - the roof is fine. aleks - Bell tower is suppose to be in the front, that is where the supports are, and the steps are fine. And oh yes, one more thing.....TMGraphics, I don't know how you saw this, but you are sort of correct, so because you are close, you have won.....there are doorknobs, but Mike forgot to draw the doorknobs for the inside of the door. He told me it was because once you are in, you stay in. LOL, so, TMGraphics, go to our site and choose a model. Send me an email and I will send you your choice model. Sharen PS: thanks for all playing, I can see just how detailed we will have to be from now on. You are very observant people.

pokeydots ( ) posted Wed, 22 August 2001 at 4:10 AM

lol Thanks Sharen, I didn't see the doorknob was missing, hope the haunted house has them, as I wouldn't want to get stuck inside! lol

LOL....Mike assured me that the haunted has escape hatches....LOL, if you find them in time...ahhhhhhh. LOL Sharen

aleks ( ) posted Wed, 22 August 2001 at 5:09 AM

hey sharen, it was fun! make this on regular basis! lol!

SAMS3D ( ) posted Wed, 22 August 2001 at 5:25 AM

Can't keep making mistakes....not good to sell something with imperfections, we want our models to be perfect for you all. But, yes, it was fun....maybe do a little challenge like this per week, kind of like look for Waldo...if you know what I mean. Only if it is approved by the moderators though. Sharen

Tammy ( ) posted Wed, 22 August 2001 at 7:45 AM

This looks great Sharen, not sure Id attend here though if once your in you have to stay forever :)

SAMS3D ( ) posted Wed, 22 August 2001 at 7:48 AM

LOL, I certainly wouldn't either.....that is kind of scary...could make a movie out of it, the church that doesn't let you leave.....oooooooooo..Sharen

jamball77 ( ) posted Wed, 22 August 2001 at 8:21 AM

Well if it has a back door it opens the wrong direction. Outside door open out to prevent entrapment during fires.

SAMS3D ( ) posted Wed, 22 August 2001 at 12:36 PM

Yes, I know, Mike mentioned that to me, I told him to have it open out. Why? An old Church I attended a long time ago had it's door like that and I liked it. So, I am sure it doesn't meet today's code, but it was my idea. Sorry. That was on purpose. Sharen

atthisstage ( ) posted Wed, 22 August 2001 at 12:38 PM

Sam, actually your chimney isn't within code. The top is too close to the walls and any escaping sparks could be a fire hazard; techincally, the top should clear the highest point of the roofline by another 18". Just an FYI. (We just finished renovating the lake cottage, and this was one of the things the inspector was very adamant about. Your area may have looser laws about this, but ours, being in the middle of a forest that hasn't seen enough rain for far too long, are really tight.)

SAMS3D ( ) posted Wed, 22 August 2001 at 1:05 PM

In these parts, a lot of people actually still use a pot bellied stove or a wood stove and code around here is to get a fire wall and that is about it. Unless the flew is actually in the house. Otherwise the pipes can go through the wall as long as it is a firewall. Pretty lax around here though. Sharen

SAMS3D ( ) posted Wed, 22 August 2001 at 2:20 PM

TMGraphics ( ) posted Wed, 22 August 2001 at 2:22 PM

Yes I do, but it's not the prize, it's the feeling! (Then the prize!) :> Thanks Again!! TMGraphics

SAMS3D ( ) posted Wed, 22 August 2001 at 2:28 PM

Yes, I guess you are right, the only thing I have ever won, was.........wait a minute, it was nothing....I don't really think I ever won anything, oh no wait, I did win a pizza once that almost gave my family tomain poison. That was about it......I am glad you are happy. Sharen

Petunia ( ) posted Thu, 23 August 2001 at 11:54 PM

now now.. Sharon, you won that tractor race, you did, you did.. you told me that yourself! Lovely church! I am terribly slow and will have to get busy here with some things. I have been poking around - and your Mike is sure a whiz with AutoCad. I get lost frequently in 3d. Finally did get the durn bubbler done, but haven't done the map for the label.. you wanna map this thing for me Sharon?

SAMS3D ( ) posted Fri, 24 August 2001 at 4:15 AM

Yes, I did win that, but it sure took me a lot of years to win something. Although, now that I do think of it I won a car race twice. Against the boys....ha ha. sorry, my memories went to my head. Yes, I can map something for you, what do you need? Sharen

Petunia ( ) posted Fri, 24 August 2001 at 6:06 AM

LOL, some neato memories!! I made a bottle of bubbles and a bubble wand. The bottle has a lable area. It is a present for all of you. I will send it to ya soon. You map it (the durn lable doesn't want to stick for me #^$^) and I will post it for all.

SAMS3D ( ) posted Fri, 24 August 2001 at 7:22 AM
