Niles - the roof is fine. aleks - Bell tower is suppose to be in the front, that is where the supports are, and the steps are fine. And oh yes, one more thing.....TMGraphics, I don't know how you saw this, but you are sort of correct, so because you are close, you have won.....there are doorknobs, but Mike forgot to draw the doorknobs for the inside of the door. Well if it has a back door it opens the wrong direction. Outside door open out to prevent entrapment during fires.

Sam, actually your chimney isn't within code. The top is too close to the walls and any escaping sparks could be a fire hazard; techincally, the top should clear the highest point of the roofline by another 18". Just an FYI. (We just finished renovating the lake cottage, and this was one of the things the inspector was very adamant about. Your area may have looser laws about this, but ours, being in the middle of a forest that hasn't seen enough rain for far too long, are really tight.)

In these parts, a lot of people actually still use a pot bellied stove or a wood stove and code around here is to get a fire wall and that is about it. Unless the flew is actually in the house. Otherwise the pipes can go through the wall as long as it is a firewall. Pretty lax around here though. Sharen
