Okay everybody, here's the new DITI for the week of August 15th!

Click on the photograph in order to save it in its largest available format.

This is straight out the camera, so have at it!  Serious postwork or fearsome sea monsters or anything in between.  Enjoy!

Whoever answers with an image first is responsible for next week's DITI.

Very beautiful straight out of the camera!  It's saved and ready for future play. :)

Great image!

They are back!...run away...run away!

myrrhluz ( ) posted Mon, 15 August 2011 at 6:50 PM

They're on top of us!  It looks like they have already begun to tear up the place.  I'm going to sneak quietly away.  Great image!

Outstanding Mark...reminds me a bit of Will Smith's Independence Day. Fits the scene perfectly. :)

I won't even go back and comment on each one, but I'll gladly say that what I've seen so far is wonderful! I feel a bit intimidated... I don't know if I can match up to any of them.

Hi Helle, Like all the things you've brought to the party.

If we had some shortcake and whipped cream we could make quite a treat out of those strawberries.

Yeah, wouldnt it be nice?  :-D  Thank you :)

Do yoy really think those are logs on the beach?  Those are THEM...they came thousands of years ago the first time and their ancestors have turned to stone in Arizona.

bmac62 ( ) posted Tue, 16 August 2011 at 4:30 PM

Now that's one very high tide Maria:) Like the way you've heightened the dramatic effects with the flood filter and enhancing the light throughout the image.

Great play, Helle!  The strawberries look yummy, but if I was in the boat and saw those bugs, I'd stay offshore!

Beautiful flood effect Maria! I love the glassy look of the water, and the clarity of the image.

helanker ( ) posted Wed, 17 August 2011 at 2:48 AM

HEHE! Thats why there are no people on the beach, Lucinda.... they ran away :D Thank you :)

Lu...your change of lighting has changed the image dramatically...like it.

Mario...Oooo, very nice. Your pic has lots of that old time flavor:) This is a time when graininess really adds to the picture.

Beautiful Mario!  I like the sepia tones very much!  It looks like an image from the turn of the century.  (19th to 20th :))

Wonderful Mario! It whirls around and makes me dizzy.  I love the colors and the golden shine of the water.  Since I'm pretty sure what filter you used and the image is not symetrical, I'm really impressed with how it is joined without a seam.

MrsLubner ( ) posted Wed, 17 August 2011 at 3:34 PM

oh! Mario! I adore the treatment!

Many thanks to Lucinda, Maria C.and PJ .I am glad that you enjoy this treatment obtained with Dynamic Photo HDR. Lucinda has rightly noted the lack of symmetry, deliberately distorted to me.

bmac62 ( ) posted Thu, 18 August 2011 at 1:53 PM

Three more fascinating DITI works since I've last been here! Way to go all.

Maria: Really like the way you combined all the effects you've used...particularly the Fractalius plug-in. I keep telling myself to download Fractalious...seems sometimes I just don't listen to good advice

Mario: Oh, a 'little planet'...at least that's what I've heard this technique called. This is a fun thing to do and works great on our beach scene at Picnic Point, Washington.

Tara: Very painterly. I'll bet there are some Virtual Photographer filters in use here. How about an 8x10 for the computer room wall?

I guess it is time for me to upload an entry...question is, Can I come up with anything as good as all of these?
