try deleting your ui prefs. Sorry I don't know exactly where that is in win7. I only have xp. Maybe try a search for it.

Available on Amazon for the Kindle E-Reader Monster of the North and The Shimmering Mage

Today I break my own personal record for the number of days for being alive.
Check out my store here or my free stuff here
I use Poser 13 and win 10

Quote - I lost my all my libraries

Sometimes when reordering your UI some windows disappear for good. Easiest as Redphantom mentioned, is to remove the UI preferences file (on my machine it is at):

 c:/users/millighost/Application Data/Poser/8.0/English/Poser UI Prefs_1280x1024.xml

simply remove it while poser is not running, then it is back to factory state.

MadameX ( ) posted Sun, 21 August 2011 at 11:51 AM

Funny, after reading this thread, I had this happen to me last night. When I tried to move the library window around after making it floating, the right side 'stuck' to the right of the screen and only resized larger when I tried to move it. When I let it go, it docked above the doc window as in the OP's screenshot above. Messing around with it, I wound up with a tiny doc window and had to go into preferences to set poser back to default. That fixed it for me, but I don't think I'll be doing much floating with the ui anymore, even though it's cluttered, imo.

raven ( ) posted Sun, 21 August 2011 at 12:31 PM

Also, once you have your screen set up as you want, click on one of the UI Dots, then if it goes screwy again, you can click on the UI dot to get your preferred set up back.

MadameX ( ) posted Sun, 21 August 2011 at 1:00 PM

I also noticed that if you float the doc window, you can't do anything at all. What's the point of that?

Poser is not a friendly program.

It has gotten less user friendly and more unstable each time a new version arrives.

The User Interface now is so pathetic that I guess only porn producers will put up with it.

It used to be Ok years back when it came to be, but the new owners and their "staff"  still live in the 1980's. They haven't yet caught up and probably never will.

I wanted to thank everyone for their help,, thank you. It is working now. Sorry I didn't get back sooner , I was ill. Ithink I ate something that didn't agree with me. Everyone's help was much appreicated.

Funny thing is, I don't know what caused the problem.

I could not disagree more ... I have had more fun with Poser since it's inception than all other software that I have ... combined.

It makes me wonder if, when one has the attitude that is espressed above, one has not made any effort at all to learn anything at all about this most wonderful piece of software.

That's all. 😄

Oops! Gleep is an error in my typing. I use the Columbus Method, I discover a key, then land on it. I should know your name, you've helped me a number of times. There is no Bizarro Dr anywhere, ( I hope ). You and the other kind  people of renderosity are appreicated. Please accept my apology Doc, no disrespect intended.
