Hello,

Where can i find a  mannequin/dummy figure for daz 3d?

Something like that:

http://bit.ly/qjryLC

I searched in the shop but I have not found anything.

Thanks for your help :)

Mannequin is provided free as part of the Poser software content library.

Do you also have the freeware Blender 3D modelling software ?

You can open this rigged mannequin inside Blender, then export it into a Daz Studio-friendly format.

Chip_3.0

http://www.blendswap.com/3D-models/characters/chip_3-0/

and Blender is found here:

http://www.blender.org/

You will probably have to use rigging tools in DS to get the exported figure to be poseable in DS.

Haven't tried this, though !

My Blender can export Collada, Wavefront OBJ, and FBX.  I believe those are importable by Daz Studio.

If your Blender app cannot export, you need the plug ins.

( note: You must not Save As in Blender, but Export.)

when i try do load the fbx in daz he says "no importer for this file",

when i try do load the obj in daz he says "error occurred while importing...",

when i try do load the dae in daz it seems to work, but the object is totally broken

:(

Oh dear, I am sorry you're having trouble with this.

Well, if you have Google Sketchup the freeware 3D modelling app, you could do a search of the word "mannequin" in their 3Dwarehouse, and you'll see some results with mannequins and crash test dummies.

You will need the usual Sketchup freeware ruby script plug-ins for OBJ export, before you can get the files exported, and then do the DS import.

Results vary, if my experience with Sketchup OBJ exporting is anything to go by, but I have not attempted the mannequin files.

Best of Luck.

I need a wooden manniquin without real human appearance, like the one in the link in the first post.
