I just purchased the "Genesis Generation 4" morph suite from Dimension3D in Marketplace here.

Personally, it saves my investment of time and money I have mades in V4/M4/S4.
The instructions are concise and clear and I was able to make first transfer in less than 20 minutes after download.

Going forward, they will take almost no time at all.  I make the side by side render of V4 and Genesis using same skin texture and equivalenced morph.

Genesis is being the one on the right

Looks good! It's getting some good comments and pictures over at the DAZ site forums as well.

Whoa, I didn't even know about this tool, thanks for bringing it up. Until we can weight map V4, this is a good alternative.

Did you guys get asked for a password to even look at the instructions?  I can't find one anywhere in the documentation and I'm still waiting for the creator to get back to me.  Be nice if I could actually use this product.

Never asked me for a password on original purchase or the update that came out on Sept 1st.  I just now re-downloaded file from my account page and find no inquiry of password.

Maelarya ( ) posted Thu, 08 September 2011 at 6:34 PM

I redownloaded it again and still get the issue.  Anyone want to point me to a tutorial that works?  Dude isn't answering emails apparently.

Hmmm. Something sounds off here.   Renderosity only uses .zip files for their MarketPlace products, not .rar files.

Are you sure you bought it from Dimension3D at this link?

http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/gen4/88362

If that is the link you bought the product from, the file should be a zip and there is no password required, not even to look at the readme file.

Maelerya definitely didn't get the file from here. I sleuthed around and found where it did come from and have let BR know the link so he can bring it to the store's attention. It's definitely warez.

Nice, accusing me of stealing the product...and then being stupid enough to ask about it on the forum where it's sold.  Seriously?  You are both idiots.  The product was legally purchased from here.  Could you be any more stupid, Acadia?  I mean, seriously?  And who said anything about it being a .rar file?

The file name I have is Gen4_115975 and I bought it on 8/28/11.  What kind of sleuthing did you do, Acadia?  You seem to be pretty current on illegal file sharing.  You must do a little bit of it for yourself.  You friggin idiot.

Username up in the right hand corner.  Order# and date of purchase.  Left off my credit card info because you know...hmm, something sounds off here.  For someone who has a stupid amount of posts, besides obviously being chatty, your helpfulness is lacking.

I stand corrected. My apologies.  This thread link was sent to me and it mentioned you were asking about a passworded .rar file. I only skimmed this thread.

And no, I don't file share. But I do look out for my friends and check around to see if their files are being shared.

excuse me, I asked for the file name since I was unsure of it in my own files. but hey. accuse away.... obivously I was accusing you of stealing. just by asking the file name.

Medzinatar ( ) posted Thu, 08 September 2011 at 8:17 PM

The reference to RAR file seems to be pulled out of thin air by Acadia.  There was no previous mention in the thread.

Again, anytime you google a rendo or daz product you will find an illegal link.  It make no difference if somebody finds such a link to product.  There was nothing to suggest the two were related.

@Maelarya

On related note,  about the time you sent request to Dimension3D, I believe he is in germany and hour may have been quite late.

Maelarya ( ) posted Thu, 08 September 2011 at 8:18 PM

Back before I was wrongly accused of stealing, in the documentation file, this is what I get.

That top file is a PDF file that is still asking for a password.  Nothing else is asking - not the read me, not history, not the license.  I'm assuming the directions are in that?

Yeah that was my bad - I meant to correct that and not include you in that statement.  Sorry about that.

Thanks, I'll poke around and see if I can't figure it out.  Just disappointed that it's so over my head that I can't even figure it out =x

I hope you will solve your problem soon.  I am used to using D3D product morphing clothes and its functional organization is very similar, so obtained satisfactory result immediately.

There is a thread in DAZ Forum, The Commons, that has grown to almost 600 replies.

http://forum.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=170835

maybe it is of some use to you.

Dimension got back in touch with me.  My computer kept trying to open the pdf in photoshop, making it think I wanted to EDIT it which requires a password.  Used adobe reader and it opened fine.  /rolls eyes  All that for a goober mistake.

Thanks for the help, guys.  I'll check out that thread, Med.  Thanks =)
