Subject: Invisible Content in DS 4.0.0.343

Ninja-G33k ( ) posted Fri, 16 September 2011 at 2:56 PM · edited Thu, 28 November 2024 at 3:57 AM

I have a folder full of content (and I keep stumbling across more) that appears to be invisible (I've tested every piece in the folder) when I load it it into DAZ Studio 4.0.0.343.

The Scene tab tells me that the figure has loaded, and a marker appears in the main viewing pane, but nothing else appears, no surfaces, nothing; it's like the bones are there but there's no skin covering them.

I moved on to importing the OBJ files, and those show up fine.  I'm quite baffled.

The really strange thing is that all this stuff worked fine when I was using DAZ Studio 2.3.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

If you reset your DS4 order the new version should be OK - it was a group naming issue (DS4 is fussier) and they've implemented a workaround, certainly DS Pro/Advanced was OK.

i know a cpl people with ds4 pro upgrade that say it's pretty glitchy too so i'll suggest to them to try the reset to newer version

And  all I need to do is install the new one over my existing one?
