That looks nice. I have the long braid that DAZ sells but I haven't used it in quite a while because it does not bend very well compared to newer braids. You have plans for these?

Cheers

Well, here's what it looks like, I just have to rig it real fast and upload it. Making a 10ft and a 20ft version.

High Rooster

Did you ever upload the rope?

I'm not sure if you got the pith helmet I made and forgot to upload, so here's that one as well.

Got the rope.

Thank you for all the work that you have given to the charity for free. Many of the people that will view the work cannot afford shoes, what a great joy to show them animation for free.

The museum thanks you, and so do I.

Are these braids available somewhere?

Thank you,

Teque.

Not quite yet. I had a few other projects that took priority and this was set aside temporarily. There's something like 14 different lengths, 7 for pony tail, and 7 for pig-tails (double the work), and I still have a few more left to rig, and get textures finalized.

Sorry for the long wait and thanks for your patience.  :o)

Thank you again,

Well back then I was really early in my learning this stuff, and wasn't sure about the rigging of all this.

Now, on the other-hand, I will [finally] finish the braids.

Posing the braids was a big issue for me, as there are a LOT of bones. But I can now add Easy Pose dials, so that's fixed.

Sorry for the long delay, but in the end, it'll be worth it :o)

Now.... Cyberwoman... my partner in crime on this ordeal... where are you?  hehehe

Looks really cool, I'd definintely get a well bending braided hair for my runtime.

:) Wonderful!  I look forward to it!

Uhhhh, is there any way you could do one about 3 feet long and conformed to Sydney G2? I am working on a skin texture for her as Neytiri from Avatar (without the morphs), and this would really come in handy, as I haven't figured out how to braid her strand-based hair...

(I am a little embarassed to ask because I can tell this has been a long time coming for you)

If I had a nickle for ever time a woman told me to get lost, I could buy Manhattan.

A_ ( ) posted Mon, 19 September 2011 at 1:21 PM

if i may join in,

wen you rigged it - you added the S4 rig and then created 200 bones under the head bone? that's amazing. you needed 200 groups in the braid mesh for that, didn't you?

In this case, Poser's Auto-Group did that for me. I was able to, and took the easy way out :o)

After you get the bones made, you open up Poser's Group Editor, and it's located there.

Rigging this has proven to be a formidible opponent. Even PhilC took a look, and explained why it's gonna be a PITA.

I will keep at it tho, and get it done for all you fine people :o)

Thank you!

The very long "Rapunzel" doesn't really suit my needs.  But the nice 2 foot or a bit more, is the one I would personally love.  It looks more real to me than any other braids I have seen.  Hence my bouncing up and down on your screen, asking if you are done yet. :)
