I've actually seen a human in that pose and it doesn't look at all like that image.

If you see me in that pose, I would look worse then Alison and probably it would be last pose in my life. What about you? ;)

SamTherapy ( ) posted Sat, 24 September 2011 at 2:50 PM

Quote - Sam needs Therapy.  More contortioning for Alyson. Just out of curiosity has anybody with both D4 and Poser 9 tried to export Alyson into DS4 to see how DS handles her?

If you think the first pics don't look manky, it ain't me needs therapy. :)

why has she got an extra set of joints? my thighs don't have a joint in them... I'm so deprived...

Like this?

If I had a nickle for ever time a woman told me to get lost, I could buy Manhattan.

I don't even know if this one is real. It was taken off a circus website, so I am assuming she is body painted, or perhaps someone did a photoshop job on it. But the pose itself looks real.

Alyson2 is just the right size for dancing ballet. I wish someone would do a propper ballet out fit for her though.

Another... and no, that's not Alyson's default face.

Still playing around with Alyson. Decided to do some tweaking with her face morphs. Created a head morph called Elizabeth. I may do a full body morph for her, or may not. Just curious if anybody might be interested in her head morph? Here are shot head shots of Alyson and Alisha with Default faces and then with Elizabeth morph applied.

i've never tried her hi-res skin.  ??

can't find 'em now, but there were these hi-end renders of a dude holding miniature dragons on his finger tips.  absolutely gorgeous.

i'd like to try a render like that in poser.

Poser can't even begin to come close. "Maybe" a high end renderer like Mental Ray or the like, but you'd have to HAVE the dermal ridges as a bump map on the texture to begin with.

MistyLaraCarrara ( ) posted Wed, 28 September 2011 at 2:43 PM

dermal ridges would take a lot of hi res pixels

I suppose it's possible with a real high res map and given your computer and renderer can hangle it :P.

Some seriously impressive work there.  I would have hardly believed it possible, since the default clock looks worse than V4's default "bag of smashed crabs" look.

Whoa, she is actually very attractive. Nice job. Just face room, huh? You didn't use any of her morphs? I don't have Poser 9 or 2012 Pro, yet, but I am going to take the plunge. Mind if I have that morph for later? I will be using it in my movie, and I will give you full credit...

Any figure can look amazing with the right morphs! Too many people hold on to the "Oh She's too Ugly" or "She looks like an Alien" mindset to see the possibilities. I find that sad coming from people who are supposed to be creative.

I can't think of any figure ever made for Poser where people didn't complain about it initially. I don't know if folks remember the initial reactions to Victoria. But once the community got hold of it and people started making morphs, and textures, and clothing, well the rest was history.

Back in those days you got a model with no morphs ... not even textures. It was all extra. And it cost bucks to get those extras. A lot of community members just put stuff out there for the love of it all. And that was when things really started taking hold.

How times have changed!  I think the same folks who tinkered then are still tinkering now .... but content creation is a lot more complex than it used to be and not everyone has the skill to do it.  BUT ... for those who really do like to tinker, you can do an awful lot in Poser without having to go outside the app. The P8 and P9 figures have an awful lot of morphs built in ... and there is also the face room, and the Morph tool, and Magnets to take the figures in directions that aren't prebuilt.

Try it, you might like it. 8-)

I do it all the time. My gripe is with those who put down the default figures all the time. Same people over and over again.

I have a newfound respect for PAs who conform items of clothing. I've been trying all day and I just can't seem to get it right. This little black dress for Alyson was actually one I made for Alyson1. I went back into Blender and made it fit Alyson2. Unfortunately, it's still not conformed, so I had to usethe cloth room on this one to get the draping right. Otherwise...

I am still trying to get my head around creating clothing. I have been working on a body suit for SimonG2 for a couple weeks now, and I just can't seem to get the scaling right. So the fact that you have that dress says a lot to me.
