Attached Link: Live Seminar 6: Creating IBL Spherical Maps

There is a free live seminar going on through Facebook on creating IBL Spherical Maps here: http://www.facebook.com/Shade3D?sk=app_196506863720166

During this seminar, they are giving away a very nice spherical map -

Join in, its free. They work fine in Poser 7 or higher.

You'll want to use Facebook because the download info goes through it.

Nice HDR - not interested in watching the Shade demo - I know how to use these.

I followed both links and do not see how to get it for free. Can you elaborate?

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

There's a link that goes to a hidden link in the store, to a version of the item with a blank price. Enter a zero there, then order it. That order link comes up now and then in the demo itself, in the Facebook chat part.

Right now, Taiyo-san is talking about creating figures for importing into Poser. Its the Q&A section now.

Would have been nice if you said what the link was labelled and where it was in the page.

I never found it. Never found the link - nor the chat. The page is so full of junk. I hate facebook.

Did you have to friend the company or something? I'm not friending anybody. I don't want to be friends. Linkedin is already bad enough.

The "chat" button at the bottom right is empty for me.

I saw on the left 24 people talking about this - totally escapes me how.

Unfortunately its all over.

Yes, you need to log in, at least to "Like" the page - there was also a chat window through the site that becomes available. Parallel to the video, there was also a chain of discussion going on in the chat window. Im not really sure if liking was required or not, normally you have to join a group to do stuff on Facebook, but this is a page, not a group (in Facebook talk).

A good video service is really hard to find - ustream does the job but its got its own foibles too. One possibility is that you were viewing between streams. There were four different movies taken today since people kept asking questions.

Just sayin' - I also really appreciate all the stuff you contribute for the Poser community, thanks :-)

"Yes, you need to log in, at least to "Like" the page"

What is the intrinsic value of having alot of "likes' on facebook??
our local new station up here in New York is offering a chance to win a free Ipad
if you  go and "like" them on Facebook

What does one do with all these "likes" from complete strangers once you have collected them??

Cheers

I was logged in. I showed this in my screen shot - it knew I was bagginsbill and you can see my avatar.

So I had to "like" it? That's asinine. Why would I have to give a public endorsement if I haven't even seen the thing. Sigh.

Businesses need a certain number of "likes" in order to do various things, such as get their own URL and so on. I'm not sure why a business would want to accumulate more than that minimum, but I'm guessing that there may be minimum requirements for some varieties of ad campaigns or perhaps price breaks for those with more "likes".

Yes, there is that.  I get a bit confused about what happens with a Like or Join as it pertains to the embedded apps on Facebook. I believe that in order to access the Ustream Live feature, you have to Like or Join.
