and a dwarf is not a V4/M4 supermodel just flattened along the Y-axis, as a penguin is not just a flattened ostrich.
Usually, dwarfs have mainly reduced limbs, a somewhat reduced torso and an equivalently reduced circumference (X/Z axes) of body and limbs, and do not have a reduced head.
As a result they have quite a different motion cycle for running, walking, grabbing and reaching: they do need some serious torso movement as well to reach their goals elegantly.
all the best. And it might pay off to study the (sixus1 uni-)dwarf models at RDNA.

Usually I'm wrong. But to be effective and efficient, I don't need to be correct or accurate.

You have to disagree with me in what way? You disagree that it annoys me? I assure you it does. You think that walla is a re-spelling, not a misspelling? But I gave you a link showing that it already has a meaning in English. Anyway, if you were going to claim it is a borrowed word, then it is borrowed from Hindi - e.g. chai walla - the guy in charge of the tea.
Let me give you an analogy. If you were to drink water through your nose in my presence, and claim it was valid and fun and you know how to drink water properly but choose not to, I'd still get up from the table.
Also, there are many people who, upon seeing this "re-spelling", believe it is the correct spelling and they repeat it themselves, to their own embarrassment.

i had a go at making an RPG style dwarf, when i was playing with dynamic hair beards (and eyes crossed pose).
Scaled down M4 body, then used the Head Scale morph to bring his head size back up. added beer belly and a couple of weight gaining morphs.

seeing what you mean about the shortened limbs.  but won't it run into the single axis scaling thing?

I sincerely apologize BB, and I can not and do not disagree with the fact that it annoys you.
I, obviously, could not and do not know what annoys you any more than you could know what annoys me (which is very little anymore because life is too short to get annoyed with trivial things like the bastardization of the English language, e.g., the misuse of, to, too, two, or their, there, etc.).
Please accept my sincere apology and I shall try to refrain from using THAT word in the future.
BTW - Can you suggest a substitute that might be acceptable? Seriously.

When I tried making one, shortening the legs Y scale worked reasonably well, but my problem was shortening the arms X scale - because the joints get all wonky, (or perhaps "voionky"?) ...& I've never set-up or played with joint rotations.  How tough would it be to realign them to bend correctly with new X-scaled arms?
what about elongating his torso, and then scaling down the body again?

or is it the opposite? if you make his torso longer, legs and arms should look shorter, right?
sorry, brain constipation this morning.

Ah, pity the poor folks who actually live in Walla Walla. BB, you would have hated Norm Crosby :-) "Norm Crosby King of the malaprop, Norm always speaks from his 'diagram' and drinks 'decapitated' coffee."

Attached Link: Marvelous Morphs
You could use this for m4 and v4http://www.daz3d.com/i/shop/itemdetails/?item=9543
it comes with clothing fit morphs
Â
Are those Genesis morphs or regular ones? They look really good. I would think it would be easier to create a dwarf with Genesis due to the sub-d and large selection of interchangeable morphs. The link isn't working for me but I'll have to check it out.
I really do like Sixus's Unidwarf--it doesn't have the degree of realism that the above characters have, but I think that it is rather nice & I intend to buy it some day.

The marvelous morphs are for m4 and v4 so they work in poser.maybe this link will work better

I do have a genesis version as well with my "Fantasy shapes" set
http://www.daz3d.com/i/shop/itemdetails/?item=12847
but that only works in ds4, not what the OP was asking for.

Does anyone know where I can find a tutorial on creating a dwarf charecter in poser?
