Subject: Interjections from DAZ- Worth the $$?

Found this at DAZ a little while ago:

https://www.daz3d.com/i/shop/itemdetails/?item=13622

Anyone here using this? Is there a significant improvement with using this over what I already have, which is the Hi-Res Skin & Texture Mats for V4 or the Elite Human Surface Shaders?

Let me know.

I bought it and haven't been able to get good results from the skin presets.  The subsurface scattering is too red and too intense giving the figure the appearence of slightly glowing.  Better to either play with the surface setting yourself or wait for the manual from DAZ

I got it too, tried a render but it took so long to even get started I figured it's it's too much of a strain on my old computer, so packed it away for another day and my new computer;)

OK, thanks for the feedback. Think I'll just stay away from it and save some $$.

I'm pretty happy with what I've got anyway.

It's basically the same as whats included with the elite textures. Some slightly different SSS maps and a new ambient map. One of the new SSS maps is somewhat useful for my shader setup but that's the only thing from the pkg I use. You should be able to get almost identical (or superior) results with what you already have.
