Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 13 11:02 am)
nobodyinparticular, are you sure? I did not have that problem pre p2012. It might make sense having a problem saving stuff from Program Files to Programs Files (86), but I cannot save even to the runtime that came with P2012 which is in the same directory. I could find nothing in the documentation about putting runtime files in the document directory.
hmmm, not with me it doesn't run afoul.
P2012 64 bit can install itself in the ProgramFiles folder as you stated, which was determined when you installed Poser (traditional Runtime). I am running Windows 7 x64 bit and install all of my content to the P2012 Runtime. It could be an issue if you aren't running windows a admin.

Look that's a PROTECTED WINDOWS Folder Make a C:Poser Pro2012 Dir and a C:Poser pro 2012 Content Dir then uninstall the earlier Poser set up and Reinstall to the new directories and see if you don't get results

Quote - I just made the leap from P8 to P2012, primarily to take advantage of 64 bit, and I'm trying to iron out the bugs and I could use a little ........... help would be much appreciated.

Windows 7.
My Poser 8 is in C:/ Program Files (86) and Poser 2012 is in C/:Program Files.
The p12 library can find and load the P8 runtime stuff, but it will not let me save anything, either in the old P8 runtime or the p2012. In fact, I cannot save anything at all, even stuff I open from the p2012.
To clarify, I load a base v4, add some morphs, a texture, etc., and name her Betty. Then when I try to save that character in the library (any library) i get the message "Warning/cannot open C/Program FIles/SmithMicro/PoserPro 21012/runtime/character/People/Betty
Any help would be much appreciated.
