Subject: remove / delete full body morph

amstar ( ) posted Sat, 28 January 2012 at 2:23 PM · edited Mon, 03 February 2025 at 9:43 AM

Quick question, I know how to create  a full body morph, but deleting one is the problem.

When I go int hierachy editor and turn on all parameters I can see all the morphs and can delete what the full body morph under "Body", the problem is all the individual morphs for each body part remain!

The causes problems if I want to re-load different version of the same full body morph! Is there a way I can delete the entire full body morph in one go without having to delete it from each individual body part??

Thanks.

Is this an FBM you created or are you trying to delete a stock FBM?

What figure?

What version of Poser?

The short answer is "No".

Using a Poser library file editor (I use CR2Builder) to edit the cr2, may be easier than doing it in the Poser Hierarchy Editor, but will still be tedious if many body parts contain the morph. One or more of the commercial editors may have a feature to do it, but I don't remember hearing of such a feature.

As you want to "re-load different version of the same full body morph", an alternative solution may be to create a delta injection pose to inject the new version of the morph into the old channels.

If the figure uses PBMCC channels (most recent DAZ figures do) you can use svdl's "SpawnCharacterP6 update" to make INJ and REM files. If not you could use "Pozers Little Helper".

I would try deleting it in MorphManager...

PhilC's Poser PocketKnife can delete the FBM and all associated PBM's in one swoop.

Which is handy, because even if you make one small PBM in V4's left shin, Poser generates a Custom Morph dial in all 50+ body parts, from the tips of her fingers to all of her tongue joints. I'm constantly using Pocketknife to delete all the extra Custom Morph dials.

The day Poser creates a new dial in only the parts actually morphed, I will be a happy camper.

Good to know that good ol' PhilC's Poser PocketKnife can save the day.

Hu? I have never seen that! It certainly does not happen for me in P6. What procedure are you using?

With the Morph Brush. In P6, P7 it only morphs the body part you touch. But starting in P8, you can paint a morph across body parts. Unfortunately it generates a Custom Morph dial in EVERY body part, more than 50 of them, even though all the extra ones don't do anything. In this regard I miss Poser 7!

Thanks for the explanation imax24.

no, that's what I did via the hierachy editor basically... it just removes the one dial from the body, all the other across all other body parts remain!

Poser Pro 2012, yes either imported FBM or when morphing with the morphing tool, both same deal

PhilC's Poser PocketKnife for those who might want these useful tools.
