Subject: All Controls Disabled Except for the Main Camera View

Hi troops! Yes, it's true - ever since downloading the Sophia figure from FreeStuff my copy of Poser has been doing daft things. All the controls appear to be disabled. I can select which camera to view the figure with, but if I try to use any of the control panels to the left of my work area, all that happens is that the camera pans to the right, moving the figure off-screen. Reversing the procedure (i.e., moving the mouse the opposite direction) simply makes the camera continue panning to the right. Thinking back, I loaded the figure up and zoomed in on it. Next I applied a texture, and finally I tried to re-pose the figure's neck. After that things went daft. I don't recall locking anything, pressing any strange key combinations or anything else that may ahve caused this. Can anyone else think of what I might have done wrong? As usual, all input is appreciated, all help gratefully received! Cheers! - Hairy <=== Suffering withdrawal symptoms

Also, I can select body parts from the drop-down list at the bottom of the work area, and doing this and turning the dials allows me to position the figure.

I don't believe this - my modem reset itself and when I logged back on to the 'Net I was able to use the camera controls properly! What's up with that?!?!?!? I seem to recall something about Poser logging on to the Internet to check if you're using a pirated version. Is this true? Would it be why my copy screwed up, cos it was checking my authenticity? Oh, incidentally, my copy is true-bill original!! Well, that's one for the "Strange" files anyway. Sorry to disturb y'all. :o)

That IS strange. I've had a computer at work tell me it had the wrong password and wouldn't sign on to the Internet. After I rebooted the machine it connected just fine. Strange things happen to PC's when they don't get re-booted once or twice a day. ScottA

I think the word was that later versions of Poser goes out on any local area net they are on and look for the serial number, if found it will not start. Mac Apps have been doing that for years, incidently.
