...was just on the Daz forums and when I went to post a reply, I receved the following error message.

"Database is unavailable."

Didn't receive their usual "Site Down for Maintenence" message.

Considering their announcment last week that they will be going to a new commercial website service and thus will be killing the current forums, it makes me wonder if they are not implementing the changes without warning everyone.

One moment I was on the forums and everything was fine, the next I know, BOOM!.

When I clicked on other email reminder links, I received the same message.

It now says "down for maintainence"

...didn't get that message when I clicked on the "submit" button which is why I was just a bit worried that Daz killed the forums.

...everything is back up now (at least for the moment).

...well the forums are up, but the rest of the site is "Down for Maintainence"

...not very comforting considering...

Really?  I get the "down for maintainence" on the forums too.  Weird.  Oh well, I'll go to sleep and it'll be up in the morning!

Today I couldn't even log on to their website.  Could not find..What is going on?

Good thing there is a Daz forum here at Renderosity, since theirs is all messed up.

The Forum is working for me, but the store is slow as mud. There is a PC sale starting today, but I can't load the PC items, so guess I'll check back later...

Uncoordinated DOS due to large volume of downloads?

That's what I assumed when it went all sluggish.

Lotus 123 ~ S-Render ~ OS/2 WARP ~ IBM 8088 / 4.77 Mhz ~ Hercules Ultima graphics, Hitachi 10 MB HDD, 64K RAM, 12 in diagonal CRT Monitor (16 colors / 60 Hz refresh rate), 240 Watt PS, Dual 1.44 MB Floppies, 2 button mouse input device.  Beige horizontal case.  I don't display my unit.

Servers getting slammed pretty hardcore apparently due to the announcement. Been trying to check for new stuff all morning and even my downloads are going at snail's pace if at all.

Seems to be working all right now. Probably got slammed hard by people downloading the free software.
