I just got a site ail from his wife Kristan and it seems cancer has taken our friend and fellow Brycer RodsArt. It has been a long battle for him but he is beyond it's reach now.

Shit, I can't believe that. I thought he had been quiet of late. Top bloke as well. I mentioned about getting a wacom and how he was getting on with his. He sent me over  a gnomon workshop dvd from the states to uk just so I could get some practice.

Really fantastic artist as well, god bless Rod.

I am so thankful to have had a chance to have Rod as a Renderosity friend. I first met him here when he was ICM. We always took time to look at each others work, and encouraged each other as often as possible. There is an empty space in my heart today where he used to be.

Goodbye, my friend...

Oh no!  He was so encouraging and generous, never impatient with those like me so far below his extraordinary talent.  He had a great flair and expertise with Bryce, and not just Bryce - a true artist.  I'll miss him a lot.

I cant believe this... He did say he was sick and was taking a break.

He was such a generous individual with amazing talent.  He was doing some art of my website and the e-mails stopped and I figured he was busy and didnt bother him.

Here is the background image he did for my website.

Thanks A-X64. Nice to see a little more of Rod's amazing work. I can still remember when his designs were picked by Renderosity for the site headers, etc.

I'm always strangely struck whenever someone from here passes away. Somehow I feel as if all of you are somehow "forever". Unfairly so, this is not true and I am extremely saddened to hear this news as like a lot of you we have had a great deal of socializing with Rod here at Renderosity and in this very Forum over many years. This is a great loss.

I'd like to think that whevever he may be, he is still creating his art.
