Subject: next silly question "clothing room"

shellysummers ( ) posted Fri, 24 February 2012 at 1:41 PM · edited Thu, 21 November 2024 at 2:55 AM

Ok so i am doing a picture with alyson. I make her basic sundress a black dress. In the options when i tried to clothify. I told it to colide with alyson body. For some reason it is not colliding with her legs right. There is tons of poke threw and and i get weird crumbling up around the knee joint. Reminds me when you use waredrobe wizard and the joints are not right. Anyone know what i am doing wrong? It's a dynamic outfit. Thank you for any help :)

Not sure what the problem could be. A screenshot could help, maybe what version of Poser you are using, OS, etc.

Also, did you remember to turn IK off? That might not be what's causing it, but it should always be turned off on your figure whenever you use the cloth room.

If you already knew this, please disregard. :)

Could be you didn't let the sim run long enough. But we really can't help you with no image of what you're getting and no idea of your settings.

Ok so i re did the simulation a few times. Ran into it was leaving the invisible body parts at the root of the scene. Once I turned them back on. The simulation worked. Got to work on the pose a bit but thought i would show yall what i had in mind. Any suggestions you have on the picture would be greatly appreciated.

What's the byte count of the image?  Just looking at it, that reddish background had an awful lot of detail, which equals heavy byte counts.

The "I" in Doric is Silent.

Picture is too small. Best would be smooth shaded with wireframe.

I do not know Alyson, but she can have JMC and magnets in thigh/hip area. They are invisible, but can collide against clothing.

Delete simulation, create new simulation and manually check all body parts which can collide against dress. I think that with this pose you co not need check fingers, toes and head.

The byte count is 101 kb's it's a png. Is there a better format to use on this site?

seems to work better. Let me know what you think :) Ow is there a way to make the ground reflect her energy balls? I can see the feet, but the energy balls do not reflect.

  1. This picture does not shown all (I adviced wireframe preview picture - not render). I'm not sure, if I see correct, but I think that most of pants is selected as "constrained group". Check in clothing room. Constrained should be only "belt"

  2. Ground can reflect or gather light from objects. Go to material room, select ground and uncheck "shadow catch only". You can add reflection value node or create material which gather light.

Here you can find 9 links to threads refering lights and "gather"

Thanks, figured out the reflection because of that. Rerendered it and see the energy at the bottom.
