Subject: Poser 8 content In Daz 4 Pro

mejed ( ) posted Mon, 05 March 2012 at 7:45 AM · edited Wed, 01 January 2025 at 6:15 PM

For some reason when I add Poser 8 directories into Daz 4, only the Dowload runtime show up, no Poser 8 content itself. Is there a way in add Poser 8 conternt to Daz4???

Thanks for any help.

p.s. I don`t have this problem with P6

Make sure you are picking the folder with the Runtime folder in it, and that you are selecting it as a Poser content directory (in DS4, right-click on Poser Formats in the Content Library pane).

Already tried that.  All it will allow me to add is what I`v already dowload and inalled  (in the P6 content library, and dowloads runtime) , nothing that comes with P8 or P7...sigh.

Where is your P8 content installed?

Drive C program Files Smithmicro (64 bit)

also Daz 4 Pro is 64 bit.

Win7 and Vista protect the Program Files folders, so installing content there is not reccommended.  Did you specify the path as C:Program FilesSmith MicroPoser8, or did you stop at Smith Micro?

easiest way to fix this issue is to open a windows browserr window to the runtime you are looking to add, as you have your daz directories selection window open too so you can follow the path in your directory selection exactly to the folder that holds the runtime folder.  then after you do that run a search for content in DS4 and it should start recognizing things once it's done.  and any folder that you have runtimes in on the drives you search, including test setup folders will show up and you can then remove any that don't have content from your directory

Are you sure the content is in that folder? Poser 8 and later default to placing the content in your Documents folder.

Thanks.
