well, i haven't used wb3 but vue is simple, heres an example. i gave the demo to a friend with no documentation and he's had it a week now, look at what he's done. this guy dosen't use his computer for art at all, until he got the vue demo, heh heh. Search for Cowboyuk Please leave a comment, he's paranoid that no one likes his pics. Vue is a piece of cake, you can mess around and get good results easily ot delve a bit deeper for that 'wow' factor. Try the demo at their website, good luck. hope this helps. Nuc'Vue is a helluva lot easier than WB anyday... You get nice results right off the bat and with a little bit of work you can get great results... It's worth the money, not only that they give you a lot of extras that other programs don't... You have virtually unlimited landscapes and more importantly, great editing tools to tailor them to your tastes... But it's much more than just a landscape generator... So run, don't walk to get it... :)
Even tho I STILL don't have Vue 4 yet...call me a lunk-head, but kid's are back to school now and they need clothes, not to mention 2 birthdays in the same month..., but I was a beta tester and working with it was really a pleasure. I do have Bryce 5 however, even tho I don't have WB3. I have heard from friends that WB3 has an extreme learning curve. Bryce 5 is, well, just not what I expected. I should have known better since I always had trouble with it and version 5 is NO different. I can't make anything but "poo" with it, if you know what I mean ;). But Vue I took to right away. Not to say that I made great stuff with it overnight (and the great stuff is debateable according to whom you talk to ;)), but using it was ALWAYS easy. The 4 views are a real blessing in that you always know just where your object is in a scene, mixing materials is SUPER easy and the renders are the fastest of any program I've ever used in this genre. One can get really excellent results, even art newbies :). If you are having trouble with WB3, you really can't go wrong with Vue...it gives so much bang for the buck and is probably the easiest 3D landscape program to learn there is. Of course, this IS the Vue forum and we are probably ALL a little biased ;). I do agree that you should download the demo and try it out. But I think after you do you'll be convinced :). Laurie

I'm a beginner, And i have purchased WB3. I cant seem to get the water to show up correctly, and the windows dont seem intuitive to me. Is Vue an easier program? Does it have unlimited landscape and randomness potential? You all are experienced much more so than I, please give me your views friends, I'm strugglin here.
