Subject: more Japanese freebies

Thanks for the info, Infinity10!!

EnglishBob ( ) posted Mon, 19 March 2012 at 5:21 AM

I'm experiencing something weird here. For me, redviper's gallery at ShareCG comes up empty, and I can't find any of his freebies by searching either at ShareCG or on the web. A ShareCG search for his name comes up blank. Google also finds various forum posts saying his freebies have gone.

You folks can obviously see something I can't. Can someone do me a favour and PM me a link?

mihoshi1de ( ) posted Mon, 19 March 2012 at 5:29 AM

Not weird. The freebie can be found from user Redviper2012, not redviper. At leastI think that's the one. ^^

All becomes clear: he changed his user name. Thanks (and thanks also to the other person who has sent me the link directly).

It does seem to be the same redviper, but he's removed all the freebies uploaded to his old account, which is a shame.

Ahh, yes, another Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon moment. Even putting red viper in the sharecg search engine brought up some bloke named anymatter, who made a bunch of textures for red viper's clothing. Which look pretty cool if you wanna check it out.

I can't get good search results for "aka mushi" or "赤蛇" or redviper on his usual hangout at Pixiv.Net, so I assume he's moved someplace else.  Could be at Tinami, but I'm not a member there, and its mainly for 2D-style anime art.

Doesn't "aka mushi" mean red (aka) worm (mushi)?  I hope RedViper doesn't take offense to that!!!!

infinity10 ( ) posted Mon, 19 March 2012 at 7:38 PM

@nakamuram - I recall he used that as his nick over at Pixiv, using the hiragana charatcers for "mushi", but he's moved somewhere else, or changed the nick id.  Anyway, hope RedViper stays around on the internet.  He made some really nice freebies.

hehe that's because he is now "おまけ充電中" @ pixiv & a few moved over to http://artistside.com/

There is also a muffler for sera at poserclub.  I missed it.

I agree completely.  He's really done some great work.  RedViper or RedWorm -- let's hope he doesn't crawl into a hole.

For those of you who dabble in PMD format 3D anime figures, here's one for ya, from the SaYaKa Project blog.

I think there is a textured PMD 3D girlie here as well (bikini-level nudity)

Hi Musicat,

Have you found this item? It's just I'm a bit confused. The entry on Shukkys site takes you either an entry that appears to be dated 20th August 2009 or to haves site where there is no bikini I can find and the site was last updated 26th February.

Any hints you can drop, without a link obviously, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your links, as always, appreciate you sharing with the rest of us :)

After doing some searching myself, I believe what was being offered is not a bikini (as it is an older freebie, that I alreay have myself), but some materials that are on offer on Have's blog (Accessible from Have's site).

Libidoll used to have it up on his site at pivx (bikini that is); shukky was referring to the materials.  I can post that.  The link was actually the word bikini but I see he took it down.  Sorry can not redistribute it.

Addendum to my last post:

The Les Paul at Mask's site is a new version from his previous Les Paul models.  It has a new, higher res mesh, new shaders and is a fraction smaller than previous versions.

Definitely well worth getting and, as I have said in the past, the best guitars free or paid for are from Mask.

His website is adult-oriented, so please surf with care.

Go to the Home page as above and 'Enter'. On the main page the updates are by date. There is a link on that page under 4/11. That's it, it's not on the Freebie pages.

Hope that helps, cheers.
