Subject: V4 shoes for Mac

Once again I search for shoes for V4 and either get "tested on PC" or "not tested on Mac" or nothing at all. Can someone please point me to a decent selection of shoes for V4 usable on a Mac?

Thanks.

Presuming you are using OS X, as long as they don't use a complicated Python script (and I can't think of any shoes that do), I don't know why any shoes wouldn't work on a Mac.

The only issues with any non-script Poser content on a Mac that I can think of are case sensitivity; for example,  you don't want to end up with 'Runtime' and 'runtime' directories, which are equivalent names in Windows, but different  under UNIX  (which is what OS X is under that pretty GUI), so you should check on installation for such issues.  Also if some files happen to have a dot at the beginning of the filename, which isn't an issue in Windows, but makes them hidden under UNIX, but I don't think I have ever seen that in Poser content-exclaimation points are preferred. 😉

I honestly wouldn't worry about it.  Basically all that is is a disclaimer by the creator telling you that they've never tested the product on a Mac. Frankly, I've only ever used a Mac with poser and other than software or some product like Optitex's dynamic clothes which can only be used with a DS module, I've really yet to run into anything like shoes that I can't use on my Mac.

OK, maybe shoes don't matter much because they're more of a prop but I've bought figures and hair without reading the "PC only" or "Not tested on a Mac" clause and had them not work properly.

Thanks, I'll just go ahead and buy the shoes and let you know if there's any problems.

I never had problems, and I probably have more content than anyone here. I have mac, and just use everything as normal.
