Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 10 6:07 am)
If you have Windows 7 or Vista - wrong place to install
Poser 8 installs its runtime data by default in C:UsersPublicDocumentsPoser 8 Content
That is where you have to install the content - or - use another external library. Windows Vista and Windows 7 do NOT like runtime data to be installed in Program Files (or Program Files (86).
Best thing to do is to create a new runtime on your data drive, use that runtime to install everything and then attach that runtime to Poser 8. You can do the same in later versions of Poser and never have to move the data
I go so far as to put it all on the D drive. Stay away from C all together.

I reinstalled Poser 8 and the over 10GB of content, including D3 and M4 base and ++morphs but when I do search for Michael all I get in return is 'DyingSlave-Michael4' (a pose).
Where is my Michael 4? Any ideas? And yes, everything is loaded under: SmithMicro>Poser>Runtime
