Subject: Best Studio 4 Light Set

madisonx ( ) posted Sun, 25 March 2012 at 2:30 PM · edited Mon, 25 November 2024 at 7:50 AM

Hello everyone.

I'm looking for a recommendation for a good general light set that is Daz specific / friendly. There are some great looking sets, but most seem to be poser-specific.

I'm interested in a general  / baseline set that can be used for a variety of renders, mostly character-focused, but also some scenic as well.

Any recommendations would be great. Thanks!

You are going to struggle to find a light set that works equally well for both scenarios as they are completely different to light.

Best bet is to learn to make your own lights (and it's cheaper  ) or look at getting two (or more) sets for different types of scene

I would recommend anything by Inaneglory or Dimension theory.

DT has just released a new product over at Daz for the March Madness sale and it is still on sale at 50%

Inane glorys recent release is also a highly recommended product aimed perhaps more for portraits but can be used for other things.

Theres a good thread about the PhotoStudio lights here

The best light I found so far is the one that comes with Toon Amy by 3D Universe.
