Where are you hitting the wall? It sounds as if you may be installing OK (just point the installer to the DAZ 3DStudioMy Library folder if you accepted the defaults) but are now looking in the Smart Content pane - if you instead use the Content Library (Window>Tabs>Content Library), under Poser Formats>My Library you will see a set up pretty much identical to what you saw in Poser (and native files will be under DAZ Studio Formats>My Library, though they aren't constrained by the Poser library structure within the My Library folder).

thanks for the answer and taking the time i would of got back to say thanks sooner its just im away at present . i noticed you said your content is not contrained by the program folder structure so where do you keep your i guress in a my library folder with identical folder structure but where and how do you then get the program to see it can you pick a kinda runtime folder like old poser dont understasnd thier new structure either :) thanks again pal

DAZ Studio doesn't have the Figures/Poser?props constraint. Native files can go anywhere except in the data folder (a bit like the RuntimeGeometries folder for Poser, and so off-limits), the Runtime folder (since that's Poser stuff, and textures for both Poser and DS usually), and the ReadMe's folder (which is hidden in DS, just to keep it out of the way). Still, most content does end up in one of several standard folders - People, with a subfolder for each character and then in that folders for clothing and materials, Props, with subfolders for various types of prop, and so on.
