"Oh - the manual says that? I have never read the manual - this must be why."Yep, that's a lot of improvement and I see you fixed some issues I stumbled over. :thumbupboth: Thanks for keeping us up to date - running now to get my SR2!!
I'm not always right, but my mistakes are more interesting!
And I am not strange, I am Limited Edition!
Are you ready for Antonia? Get her textures here:

Some nice improvements and fixes, thank you for that!! But I hope in future some more things in Cloth room will come. Like Marvelous-Designer-3D show us.

Quote - I am happy for this and can't wait to see the new characters released you were talking about. I wish we could at least get a little preview.
Does the Japanese Poser ship with different figures?
Interesting question. The Japanese version of Poser includes the same content as in the English version. Our Japanese partners have in the past included a unique figure, but this time around are going with the stock content.
FWIW? One of the biggest jobs in Poserdom aside from delivering Poser itself? Delivering Poser J and Poser DE. Yikes! IEach version includes a fully translated set of documentation (over 800 pages in the manual) translated voice overs in the videos in the included Quick Start tutorials, translation of every UI element, field, dialog, and even some content. Enormous job. But it's what we do in the world of supported software, with every version we've ever released.
Now that we got that out of the way, back to working on new stuff!
Quote - BTW I've loved the new Poser tutorial videos you've put out recently, please supply more, I learned a lot about lighting I didn't know from the most recent series.
Thanks! We are working with Charles to do a full series of training videos over the course of the year to fill this much needed gap.
So ... exactly how am I supposed to get the SR2?
I get to the updates page, click on the update, get asked for my serial number, enter my number, press continue and I get an error message saying:
We’re sorry, we were unable to verify your serial number. Please try again, or refer to our Serial Number FAQ in the Support Area. results:0 Serial Number is marked - check status. Not exactly helpful: "check status". What's that suppose to mean?

Very good fixes, thank you. But still no fix for my problem -- all the library fonts & parameter dials are too tiny to read. I get eyestrain from squinting at it and the things I've tried so far with adjusting both my Poser & Win 7 preferences have all failed. Even updating my graphics card drivers didn't help. I must be doing something wrong but for the life of me I can't figure out what.
OK I have done something wrong in that, after loading SR2, everything is back a default.
When installing I chose the middle option of backing up my preferences, does anyone know where these are backed up to? Failling that which is the quckest way to get back to somewhere close to where is was as in getting my interfact windows docked correctly.
I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 - Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU . The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.

I'd like to know the answer to this for the opposite reason; my library fonts are a bit to big on my new monitor...

Thanks uli_k, just what I needed and saved me so much work. - Now it all looks just as I like it.

Me personally....... a figure I was working on was awesome... then I installed the patch. Today the materials are acting up and cannot get them back to the way they were... everything looks fine in poser 6, 7, 8, 10...12pre patch but when it comes to 12-sr2 I'm getting some kind of weird negative looking effect on the skin I'm using. I've been trying to fix it for hours now. I don't want to hijack the thread, just want to let peeps know I'm having a new issue that I didn't have yesterday.

No offense, but that sounds like an issue that deserves it's own thread with pictures of what the heck you're talking about.
is there an official place for Feature Requests?
i would sooo luv to be able to keyframe guide hairs and/or save poses for dynamic hair.
It would be feature for animations, instead of always having to calculate.
Thanks!

I honestly don't know if this has anything to do with the update, but just thought I'd mention it... I made a bodysuit for Anastasia then tried to conform it. Everytime I tried to copy the joint zones from Alyson, poser would crash. This was after I had loaded the update, and I'd never had the issue before.

Hi Lara,
You can file a support ticket with "Feature Suggestion".
BTW, I'm going to be in NYC this weekend, camping. It's not a protest, there is a Scout camp on Staten Island. We and the Boys will take the Ferry to Manhattan to sight-see...

To everyone else curious, without trying to hijack thread....
the New poser 2012 Sr2 update does not handle and Jpg images saved in photoshop under the "Scanline" setting. This was not an issue before the update. So, if you encounter your materials turingin black in the render, but it looks fine in the preview, you must open your texture in photoshop and save under Baseline ("standard").
That is all. Only messed up 2 days of work for me... back to work now eveyone.

- Go to c:UsersAppDataRoamingPoser Pro [1]
- Move away ‘9’ and rename the latest time stamped folder (e.g. ‘9_2012_04_11 6_06_06 AM’) to ‘9’
- Restart. Everything should look like before updating.

We're having a post release QA meeting this morning and will be talking about this.
Quote - I loaded up SR2 about an hour ago, and have had 3 crashes since this morning. Is there a log or details I could gather to submit to SM?
The last time it happened when double clicking an item in Shaderworks Advanced figure manager, but it is not repeatable.
Our support team are the best place to start. But I'll update engineering and get back to you later this morning. Thanks for letting me know BTW.

OK, I hate to bother them with a "it crashed" report without any details. I am in software myself, and that is like a support teams worst nightmare of a call. LOL! If I find a repeatable cause, I will let them know.
Quote - I do love the mouse wheel zoom though, Coop! I hope you're planning to move other camera controls to the mouse as well like panning and tilting.
Amen to that - using the mouse to manipulate the camera is SO much more comfortable to me now, from using modellers, than using the virtual trackball!
I ought to pay more attention to submitting bugs and feature requests. I'm told that joint centers don't conform, and while I don't know whether that's a bug or a lack of a useful feature, I'd love it to just "work" :)
Quote - I do love the mouse wheel zoom though, Coop! I hope you're planning to move other camera controls to the mouse as well like panning and tilting.
I don't use one myself, but have you tried a SpaceMouse? It completely controls camera pitch, yaw, zooms and rotations, and we support it in Poser.

I have one of those - made myself sick trying to find the ground in Poser. In a small space like the Poser work screen, it's very easy to move out of your viewing area with one of these tools.
It's a great idea, but implementation is very difficult except in expansive 3D environments.
