Ok, is there something I'm missing or do volumetric textures just not work on metaballs? I figured it would be a great idea to use metaballs to make volumetric clouds because it'd be real easy to get the slow flattened tops/bottoms of the coulds with the negatives, but when I put a volume texture on one no matter the size it comes up as nothing, any help out there?

Metaballs don't seem to work with volu material - except if the metaball is palce right in the center of ground zero in Bryce. That don't help much -if anything. I found out about it accidentally.
