Hello all,

I have Poser 8. Have V4 and have tried to apply her Morphs++ for both head and body, but no ++ parameters are showing up in the Paramater list. Any ideas why?

I'm also interested...Have Poser2012 same thing with Daz products...

Is Morphs ++ installed to the same runtime as V4?  Try reinitializing V4 by running the file (presuming you are on Windows)  DzCreateExPFiles-V4.bat found in Runtime/Libraries/!DAZ/

If you are on OS X, run DzCreateExPFiles-V4.command in the same location

It sounds like the initializing process was skipped as WandW mentioned.  Ditto on the response.

Thanks, **WandW**. I reinitialized that file and it did its thing, but still no ++ morphs showing up. Also, I have only one Runtime folder. Any other ideas>?

Where exactly are V4 and morph++ package located?  Those should be in the same runtime folder.  I notice you have a People folder in your P8; is that where V4 cr2 residing?

JAFO ( ) posted Wed, 02 May 2012 at 3:18 PM

this subject has come up before but i cant locate the link....IIRC when installing you have to install V4/M4 then the ++package then reinstall V4/M4 again then for some reason it works...good luck

:O)

Y'all have a great day.

My other thought on the matter, how old is the original V4 install?  There was an unannouced update over a year back on V4 to correct the creation of morph channels when initializing and updating.  I don't know how many morphs are being injected, but if, indeed, the V4 install is old, I would recommend resetting your download @ DAZ3D and obtain an updated version.

Silly question..Reinstall V4 M4 to Poser?  Right now its installed to Daz

Don't know what to do. I've done everything you all have asked above. I have downloaded again my original purchase from Daz of Vicky 4 base; then the ++ morphs, then Vicky 4 base again,  but no ++ morphs. I do have ++ morphs for Michael 4, but not Vicky 4.

The only thing I can tell you is that I had the same problem in PP2012 and reloading V4 and the Morphs++ package fixed it. When you reinstalled V4 did you click the "Update Victoria 4" icon on your desktop? And I seem to remember something about initializing it, but can't remember what it was.

The process for installing V4/M4 is during installation the prompts will ask to initialize.  After initializing and every time you install a morph pack, click on the update icon on the desktop.  Provided that there is the update icon available.  Otherwise, the DzCreateExPFiles-V4.bat, WandW suggested, is the other option.

Thanks hborre. I remembered what it was that was bugging me about it. I had to do it twice. The first time nothing changed. It was the second time that got everything working again. Kind of goes back to what JAFO was saying. I have no idea if I did anything different the second time, but at least it all works now. It also fixed my problem with the Aiko morphs.

the updater only updates the Daz default install of V4.

If you're using a V4 character you've saved, the new morph channels won't be added to it.
