I made these but not happy how they turned out.

Perhaps, scaling (down) would be in order. They are the right shape, just too big.

Length wise a bit too long, and the height should smaller as well. (These look like they have popped out from between his fingers and out of his palms. The claws actually pop from the back of the hand, though some artists renderings vary.)

second set seems to have come out right these are beveled just like in the film was really hard finding an approach that would get them to look beveled.

they are still not exact but this is as close as i can get and i like this set better then the first try at it, looks alot closer to the film design then  the first mesh i made.

lol I think my blades are more movie accurate but the prop would help I could scale mine to match it I suppose.

Your claws look great Tucan-Tiki. Just need a little scale work and you should have it. What did you use to make them?

i got true space 3 and 4 running in windows 2000, windows 200 wont install it no matter what you try so I purchased a sea gate 500 gig external that came with a windows xp enviroment on it i installed it on the seagate and then moved it to my hard drive and it worked fine.

i also use zbrush but the learning curve on that thing is monsterious it's as bad a rhino, truespace is easy because you can do everything in one window and hardly have to switch views which is why i like it. but it is very limited if you want to create organic models like people or animals but it will just about anything else that does not have nurb like contours like car for instance not happening, it would be very tough to model in truespace unless you did it in sections and parts but it would be one hell of a pain, but houses, furniture, clothing props stuff like that even poser hair it's great for.

Thanks Tucan-Tiki. I'll have to give Truespace a try. I downloaded it today. I have problems with Lightwave and it looks like Silo is no longer supported.
