Subject: Kids 4 ++morphs and windows 7

posermagic ( ) posted Sun, 20 May 2012 at 3:02 PM · edited Sat, 10 August 2024 at 2:49 AM

I have a new computer, with windows 7, I have poser 7 and 8 installed.  I have installed Kids 4 and the ++ morphs at least 4 different places and way, and the ++ morphs will not work.  Any help to figure out what the issue is would be great.  I am getting ready to work on a new product and need kids 4 to start.  :)

as far as I know it should all be working fine. are you starting with a whole new scene? when you load K4 is the checklist showing the morph++ slots to allow the INJ?

If you are using the files in Poser you should ask in the Poser forum. What you need to do is install the Kids base and their Morphs++ to one of the folders you have selected as a library (the folder that holds the Runtime folder - by default it will be something like Smith Micro/Poser 8 Content in the Documents folder for Poser 8). If you want to avoid duplication I'd use an extra folder, not the Poser 7 or 8 default, that you can point both Poser 7 and Poser 8 to. In any event, under Windows 7 you should not place content in the application folder in Program Files/Program Files (x86) as Windows will interfere with the initialisation step that makes the morphs loadable.

Yes, and V4 and M4 are working fine, that is what is so weird.  Maybe I should redownload the K4 stuff :( Thanks b
