Subject: Basic ground interaction question

I'm animating an object but I want to prevent it from going beneath the ground plane. I know it's probably very simple but my internet searches are coming up empty. I know about drop to ground but this is an animation and while I start on the ground as it moves it goes under it. Thanks.

Perhaps tuning on collision detection would work, though it's never been absolutely perfect when I've used it.

I would use the graph editor to do that

"I would use the graph editor to do that"

Can you tell me more what you mean?

omg, the problems, yes.  staircases, uneven ground terrains.  fists of fury physical contact

if you click the key on the animation bit then click the wiggy red line in the animation window that opens you get to the graph editor, easy (but tedious) to adjust the position of your object there, if its a doll an your using a bvh and its that which is making it "go underground" its prob a lot easier to adjust the bvh file(is a couple of free bvh editors )
