I connected my pc to another screen.This screen has maximum resolution 1400 x1050 than the 1920x1080 on  my previous screen.And now though everything works fine there is an issue about poser that does not open on this maximum screen (1400x1050) and it requires to change that resolution to work.So i would like to ask if there is a way to make poser work in 1400x1050 so that i can exploit this screen maximum resolution.

     Can you set control panels to float and drag them to the other screen?  Have you set Windows to extend your desktop to add the other monitor?  If Windows does not offer the option of using the second monitor at its full resolution, this likely due to your video card -or worse, "onboard graphics"- lacking enough capacity to drive both monitors at full resolution.  You may also find that if you have two moderate cards in SLI (or CrossFire), you may have to remove the SLI/CrossFire bridge and run one monitor from each card.

     While using whatever extra monitor you have on hand is better than having one monitor, if you plan to use dual monitors, I strongly recommend getting two which have the same pixel height (different horizontal pixel count is unimportant).  Examples:

• two 1920x1200 monitors
• one 1920x1200 and one 1600x1200 monitor
• one 2560x1600 and one 1200x1600 monitor (this being a 1600x1200 monitor, rotated 90 degrees to portrait orientation rather than the default landscape orientation)

     With both monitors having the same vertical pixel dimension, you avoid having any "dead" areas on your desktop where shortcut icons and control panels can get lost.

I have Pro 2012, but it's the same thing..I pulled off all the panels and put them on the second screen and then just maximized the render window to the one monitor.

You re right my friend.I m not using both monitors at the same time.I just disconnected my vga cable from the first screen and connected it on the second.I  using only the second now.

     Oh.

     Then go to Start/control panel and look for either an nVidia control panel icon, or something that's marked personalization, or screen resolution, or display settings.

     This should let you set the display resolution.  Move the slider to the right end, the highest resolution offered.  The selection of resolutions available will depend on the combination of monitor and video card.

     You might also want to use a better video cable;  VGA is kind of low on the food chain.  Use a DVI or HDMI if you have the cord and the ports to fit.

1400 x1050 is the highest resolution offered.This is the highest resolution my screen offers.

     OK - select 1400x1050 and apply that change.

That s what i m talking about.Poser pro 2010 doesn t work on that resolution.I said whrn i open poser it doesn t appear on my screen ,and i can only see the icon on the menu bar.However when i put the mouse on this icon i can see the small preview of the poser main window.The library window appears with no problem at all.

     Ah, I see.

     Open Poser, and try dragging to enlarge the main app window.

     If you can see the top menu strip, go to edit/general preferences, which will open a menu window.  Click the interface tab and set the radio button to launch to factory state.  Under the document tab, select launch to factory scene.  Close Poser and then re-open Poser.

     If you can't drag the window larger, nor can you get to the top menu strip, then mouse over the Poser icon on the task bar, and right click;  select either restore or maximize.
