Subject: Anybody using Xameva & Meipe's Perfect Fixes in DAZ4?

fruitwort ( ) posted Mon, 02 July 2012 at 6:19 AM · edited Thu, 12 December 2024 at 6:40 PM

And I am talking about DAZ4 only and not Genesis - it has taken me not a little while to discover that you don't have to use Genesis if you don't want to. All I have to do now is find out how to avoid loading the Genesis figure everytime I start up DAZ4!

I  have all 9 of X&M's Perfect Fixes now but it seems that I can't just pick up the Perfect V4 .cr2 that I created in DAZ3, within DAZ4 as it appears to lose a lot of the movement Morphs.

Can I solve this by creating Perfect V4 again but within DAZ4 itself?

Has anybody tried this and does it work? I am reluctant to steam ahead regardless in case I upset DAZ4 in the process.

X&M, thank you for your past help in Private Mail and I know you are working on this, but I thought it might help other prospective users if we opened it to this forum.

Edit>Preferences>Startup, under On Launch uncheck Load File (or use the button to change which file is loaded).

just load the v4 and then all the perfect morphs and save as a new scene.

then each time you load her she will have the morphs.

Thanks, Richard.

And thank you, SS, but can we please be a bit more explicit for idiots like me!

I am operating from within DAZ4.5 with access to all of the DAZ3 Poser Content. Are you telling me to select Victoria 4.2.cr2 from within Figures>DAZ People, or should that be the Perfect Victoria 4.2.cr2 that I created from within DAZ3?

I thought I was already doing the latter but, although I seem to pick up the Perfect Fixes, I lose some (quite a lot actually!) of the standard Movement Morphs for V4.2. e.g. Neck/Head Bend, Neck/Head Twist.

I will try this again.

I think your problem might be down to how DS4 treats Poser figures, it thinks everything you load is Genesis, so instead of the morph deltas being loaded into the channels in the body part (arm, leg, chest etc), they are being loaded into hidden channels in the body that are ERC linked to ghost dials in the body parts. If perfect fix has a lot of complex ERC code then it's likely it's being lost from your CR2 when you load it because of this 'ghost dial' system, so even rebuilding it and exporting a new CR2 in DS4 is likely to have the same problems, you might be able to get it to work if you save it as a .duf scene or .daz scene, but not having the product I can't say for certain that it's going to work like that either.
