Consider this a testimonial. I am extremely impressed with the texture map on this figure! Now if there were only a morph to make Michael suck in his stomach, this would be perfect. Liz Pope Dreamspinner Inc.

is it just me or does everyone's weenie look the same. no wonder they could ID Michael Jackson and President Clinton so easily.

Micheleh ( ) posted Wed, 05 September 2001 at 1:24 AM

Isn't that odd? All the nude Victorias get massive attention from the guys. When I see a nude Michael, as opposed to a clothed one, though, I'm thinking "whatever". Don't get me wrong, I love to look at men, but a man's wedding tackle isn't exactly the most graceful thing in the universe. I'd rather a pair of tatty jeans!

thip ( ) posted Wed, 05 September 2001 at 1:34 AM

If you girls took your artistic responsibilities more seriously, we'd have as many nude Mikes as Vickis, and that would probably raise the standard ;-) The above Mike is a fine specimen, though. You're right, DreamS, 'twould've been a shame to render him clothed, especially in such a fine render as yours. That's why the greek athletes always competed in the nude.

gryffnn ( ) posted Wed, 05 September 2001 at 5:50 AM

Dreamspinner, is that Vicky's flip hair with a shorter, shaggier transmap? Looks good on him. Any morphs on his eyes, or is that straight texture?

Jackson ( ) posted Wed, 05 September 2001 at 6:35 AM

I too needed a morph for Mike's stomach. I made a half-a**ed one but it created a seam between the abdomen and chest. So I made one for the chest but couldn't get them to match up perfectly--the seam still showed. I didn't try the Grouping Tool; I'd given up on that thing a year ago. Surely some morph genius can make such a thing...? PS: Nice image, although I agree with Micheleh about the schwantz.

The genitals don't bother me at all....it's just women tryin to maintain a "we're not like that" persona .... heh heh heh being one, I know it's a LIE....!!!!! It's beautiful Liz

Yes, it is a great texture and I love that render. Looks like someone woke him before he got his coffee and he's ticked....lol I also love this texture, think it's one of the best I've seen for Michael so far. Marque

Maybe I'm a different kind of female? I've always loved the naked human form, both male and female. Perhaps I'm more ancient Greek and ancient Egyptian in my attitudes, since I was raised with archaelogy? I have read threads before and been astonished to see women artists saying they wouldn't have minded if Michael had shipped without genitals at all! What!!!! No genitals!!!! A penis is just as beautiful as a breast. Thank you thip, movida, Marque, atthisstage, for support here. I started the thread to show how wonderful this character in the Renderosity store is! I caught sight of him on a small banner that went by at the top of the page when moving from one discussion to the next and bought him within the next few minutes. I'm in the process of making my own Michael texture. Nowhere near like this one on Edo, but I'm not going to give up on my own texture and morph package either. Jackson, I've only got Michael's head set up right now to do morphs in Amorphium (can't afford Amorphium Pro yet). So I've not isolated the rest of his body like chest and stomach to do morphs. I was kinda hoping maybe some morphing genius had already made the morph and had it you know, tucked away in a closet somewhere. I know that Victoria is all the rage because there are more male artists than female ones using Poser (yeah I'm making textures for her too). But if there were more textures for Michael like the one for Edo, he could certainly become as popular, I think. Come on, with a texture like this one, and the Asia one...you're well onto rendering pictures in Poser that would have the look and feel of a Boris or Royo oil painting. Those artists being both my favorite fantasty artists and my inspiration. Both artists render both female and males in their work with just as much care. My sister Verdie, keeps a print of one of Boris's nude warriors pinned up on the wall next to her computer. Liz Pope Dreamspinner Inc.

Gryffnn, that is Victoria's flip hair, it's only been refitted to Michael's head (not easy). And it's loaded up with morphs that were given away in the Freestuff area a while back. I do not know if those morphs are still in the Freestuff. But mainly it's just the refitting to Michael. Everytime I get a new transmapped hair that looks like it might go on a male as well as a female I set to work refitting it to both Michael and P4Male. I like my guys with long hair. I'm a strange mix. Raised on archaelogy and also an '80's Metal Child. I like guys with beautiful bodies like Greek statutes and long hair like rockstars! Liz Pope Dreamspinner Inc.

lol Liz, good to know one isn't alone in the admiration of the male and female body. 8^) Marque

Nope, you're not alone and I've never been afraid to say so either! Liz

SWAM ( ) posted Wed, 05 September 2001 at 3:50 PM

Is now the same thing happen to Michael and Vicky as happend to the Kids? - sounds like this...

JetM ( ) posted Wed, 05 September 2001 at 9:05 PM

someone did some ab morphs for Michael in the marketplace. They looked pretty cool and might fit your needs. My big problem with Michael is that he's one line from chest to hip. A little definition in the abdomen area is definitely in order. And I have to give you a "here here" on what you said there DreamS! "A penis is just as beautiful as a breast" Right on!

nitreug ( ) posted Thu, 06 September 2001 at 1:09 AM

I am surprise that people always question nudity in this forum all the time. We are not in renderotica!!!!! Nudity is not porno. Kids may not make the difference but adults should do. Men or women should not make any difference when discussing or showing ART.

Chailynne ( ) posted Thu, 06 September 2001 at 2:08 AM

I agree, Liz. The texture is just beautiful. I do render a lot of nudes but I don't normally post them anywhere. I share them with a few friends then they get dumped into a rendered folder on my hd. I've never felt comfortable posting them here with all the fanatics around. PS... absolutely wonderful render of him too. :o)

movida ( ) posted Thu, 06 September 2001 at 1:07 PM

I don't remember the forum being fanatical about nudes until after Renderosity acquired "sponsors" who then decided to become the modern day McCarthy's of the internet and post banners suggesting the reporting of "suspected" use of illegal software. Suspected? By who? There started the degradation of what little free speech was here in the first place. Everyone let it happen. And it's hard to get back rights once they're relinquished. Just my uninvited .02 worth.

Dreamspinner ( ) posted Thu, 06 September 2001 at 2:02 PM

I was kind of surprised by the few negative responses to this thread. As I said before, I started off trying to show off one of the products for sale in the Store and how stunning the work was that went into the texture map. I just stared at the product renders with my mouth open. I'm a very satisfied customer and was giving the creator of the product, StefyZZ, some advertising. But I also thank those who see what a wonderful product Edo is and that Nude does equal Art. Liz Pope Dreamspinner Inc.

movida ( ) posted Thu, 06 September 2001 at 4:02 PM

I bough Edo as soon as I saw him. I'm just as thrilled and yes, the male body to me is beautiful. I figured the negatives would show up...it's just a continuation of what I mentally refer to as "the take over". I figure they've got tv and the newsmedia totally controlled and that should be enough. BTW...Newtek if any of you guys are lurking around...why not do a new proggie...a "real" human figure program...well, animals too g. You can even call it "Starman" (figure that'd work real well with "Lightwave") and there's no charge for the name!

"My big problem with Michael is that he's one line from chest to hip. A little definition in the abdomen area is definitely in order." Gee, maybe I should do a Supermodel Mike? Actually, I thought Mike was much, much better than Vickie I. I see refrences to having to pump him up, too- to me, he already is sort of a muscle-bound guy. Most men aren't really built like that. (Of course most women aren't built like SMV or the Posette, either!) Nice render, BTW!

Marque ( ) posted Fri, 07 September 2001 at 3:10 PM

If you did some clothes for massive mike that would be awesome Jim! 8^) Marque
