What exactly do you think needs to be fixed in Blender?  The Object and Edit modes serve very different functions that IMO is best done in separate modes.

truespace or C4D does not have modes button you half to change manually.
Thay just do it automatically.

The hit right mouse button to relese the vertice to move in blender.
Blender is the only app you half to hit right mouse button to continue.

Steps to move a vertice.

Blender

1 select edit mode
2 hit "a"
3 hit "c" select vertice on mesh
4 hit right mouse button
5 move
if you want to select another vertice
6 hit "c"select vertice on mesh
7 hit right mouse button
8 move vertices

C4D

1 select arrow icon
2 select vertice icon
3 selelct vertice on mesh
4 Move
if you want to select another vertice.
5 Hold shift selet vetice
6 move vertices.

trueSpace models a lot like C4D.
Blender is just slower and more complacated to model in.

Took blender to 2012 ,Blender 2.63 to get ngones.
trueSpace had ngones sence before 1998.

Maya ,Posers been bolt n sold more times then I can count.
Now Max owns Maya & XSI.
Lightwave cut there price in 1/2 and divded now there's LW & Modo.
trueSpace is dead ,RIP.

At one time there was the Fab 5 XSI ,Maya ,Max ,C4D ,LW.
If XSI ,Maya ,LW can fall ,
Then a breeze could topel DAZ ,Blender.

The right mouse button is for selecting.  Hotkey 'c' is for circle select and once in circle select the left mouse button does the selecting and the middle scrollwheel button unselects.  Hotkey 'b' is box select, hold and drag with left mouse button then release to select, hold and drag with middle scrollwheel button then release to unselect.  The right mouse button is for single select, hold the shift key to add selections one click at a time.  To move vert(s) the hotkey is 'g' for grab.  The vert(s) will move with the mouse until you click the left mouse button.  While right click and hold will cause the vert to move I see this as more of a non fatal bug that the developers don't see the need to waste time to fix.

trueSpace ,C4D reminds me of the other.

Blender ,Lightwave ,XSI reminds me of the others.

I've always had a hard time with Blender ,Lightwave ,XSI.

Feels like I'm trying to draw lefthanded when I'm righthanded.

Even thou Blender has all the power and is afordable.

I can't draw lefthanded.

Guess I want Blender to be my new girlfriend but want to convert her to be just like my old girl friend ,C4D.So I can draw right handed.

I am lefthand when writing and drawing but when using an airbrush or the mouse I am more comfortable working righthanded.  I guess my brain is just wired weird and probably why I found Blender easy to learn.
