No problems. I found them on Daz's website under "Bryce 5 content pack". Not sure if it has all the scenes I remember but a pretty good start. I wonder if the terrains and gels and such are any different than what comes with B7 already?

I'm admittedly VERY curious as to what files you speak of =/
But to answer your question, I believe the common way is to take a sphere and shoot it wayyyy into the back, then enlarge as needed...
You can preview how much distance effect is given, and see how it interacts w/ the atmosphere... There arent any "set" rules, just go for the "end visual"... Bryce has always been about trickery, doesnt have to be planet size or millions of miles away in order to give the appearance of being that far and that big... All illusions, if that makes any sense.
Good timing, I just added a TON of Bryce presets to the freestuff section, hope it can help you in your quest =)
There are 3 kinds of people in the
world. Those that can count, and those that can't..
Comes down to trial and error and render, render, render. I need to experiment with more haze and clouds so the planets don't look as close.
The files I found aren't the same as I remember. There were many, many more. I'm not sure if those old files would even open in the latest Bryce anyhow. The ones I found really look dated these days. I think they used ol school materials.

I got another load of free scene files with the Bryce 4 Bible, and with the download for Bryce 5.5 too. With every version I'm pretty sure. That's why I always save the presets before I do anything else. Every version, then I add them and save again, so that now I have all the presets and scene files from every version I've had, (except 4 I think) as well as all the ones I've made myself.

I'd gotten away from using Bryce for many years. The last version I remember using was Bryce 3D way back in the day (may have used 4 though). I also downloaded 5.5 free when it was offered but I don't know if it ever was used.
I remember an earlier version that came with editable scene files on the disk. Probably 10 or 20 scenes created by Bryce masters that you could open in Bryce and poke around with. I thought it was an excellent way to get a feel for the scale of landscapes and planetscapes from distant galaxies.
Now that I'm getting back into Bryce I'm having questions about sizing items. Should a distant planet be smaller and closer to the foreground or larger and farther away? How does that effect the textures, atmousphere or rendering times.
Any idea if those kind of files are still available?
