I keep getting this error message whenever I try to open a Vue 10.5 scene with a couple of Poser figures in it! I have visited the Nvidea site with a link to a Microsoft trouble shooting page.I do not understand what they are talking about! Has anyone else had this problem? If so how did you fix it? Any help appreciated. Cheers

Did you save the poserimport to an vob (vue object)? If I import Poserfigures to Vue, I open a new scene, import the figure and saved it under an vue object (mouse rightclick save object). In my existing scene I load this vob's and there are no problems with my NVidia FX card. Try to change the preferences from Open GL 2.1 (shader 4) to Open GL (fixed hardware pipeline).

After, does Vue let you attempt to start it with safe mode video?  Then Vue can do its "Let's detect your video adapter" routine.  Are you using the second video choice in your Vue display settings?  The top one is very iffy.

If that still doesn't work, download that last full non-beta driver for your adapter before you completely gut out your current video driver (uninstall it and also delete any folders left behind).  Then reboot and let windows grab the boring CGA driver :)

Then run the install you downloaded.  Reboot.  Let Vue do its detecting.  Load your Vue scene again.

If still the same error, it then comes down to what version of Poser you have and what Poser SDK you have selected.

What driver version are you using? The 270. driver was completely worthless with Vue and produced this error repeatedly along with numorus crashes and aggrevating hours of re-work. If you just upgraded your driver try going back one driver to see if your system produces the same error. The 300 series drivers so far seem very compatable with vue 10 complete at this point for me. Hope this helps!

Many thanks for your replies. To answer Amigo968.Yes! I imported my Poser Pro 2012 figures and saved them as VOB's. I will change the Open 2.1 shader 4 to Open GL (fixed hardware pipeline) and see if that does the trick. I will keep you all informed.Cheers

I never knew you could save a Poser figure as VOB.  I know exporting is not allowed.  So what happens when someone else tries to open the VOB on their system?  Does their Vue allow it?  It seems it would be blocked from happening.

The problem I am having is when I make an adjustment to either the pose or props in Poser.Vue then reconizes these adjustments and asks if I want to make the changes in Vue.I say yes! The adjustments are made then Vue 10.5 Infinite crashes with the above error. I then go to Poser and it also crashes with the same error. I have also as suggested changed the preference to Open GL pipeline hardware..It also crashes my system.I may have to look at my Nvidea drivers. I am presently running PC Tune Up.It has so far found over 1400 problems. Vue usually does not have any problems importing both still and animated Poser figures and saving them as VOB's. I am also trying to cancel the previous Beta Update to Vue.I have selected this option in Vue but it shuts down and nothing happens! Cheers

Well I have managed to recreate my scene.Vue can be amazing when it want's to be.I do not know the full extent of my problem but reinstalling Vue and unistalling the update drivers seems to have cured the crashing problem. Also not installing the Vue beta update seems to have also assisted. Why I say Vue can be amazing is I have just rendered a scene with six Poser and DAZ figures some of them weight mapped and a ecosystem 4000 pixels wide at 240 dpi. There is still some problems with not all textures being imported however I can work around that in Photoshop. Many thanks to all you great people who assisted me in my problem.Hopefully happy rendering.Cheers

If some textures are not correct imported to Vue, you can adjust (play a little bit with the sliders at the tabs) the transparency tab in the materialeditor.
