Stable? As in, you want the lighting angle to match the camera angle? Have you parented your lights to your camera?

No.That s the thing.I don t do that and when i rotate the camera the lights are rotated also.

Huh. Check in your heirarchy editor to make sure the lights aren't parented to anything?

If i want to parent a light to the camera what should i choose?Click on the  light ---->object---->change parent---->main camera?I m asking because when i click on a light and go to  object menu change parent option is deactivated.

Thanks

What kind of light is it? I'm not sure it works with Infinite lights, but you should be able to parent Spots or Points, I'm fairly certain.

You cannot parent infinite lights, only spot and point.  If you want to parent the infinite, first change it into a spot or point, parent, then change it back to an infinite.

A ha.I got it.This option (change parent) works only with spot lights. And you know what? When i set every light as a spot light and parent it to the main camera i achieve what i want.

However, light setups in a scene are stationary, they will not move relative to the stage if you change your camera position.  It sounds to me like you just want a guide light attached to your camera and move whenever you change camera position and angle.  Not very realistic in terms of natural lighting, unidirectional.  Now, your best alternative would be to set up your lighting according to your scene, attach a 'spot' light to your camera but change the diffuse and specular chips in the MAT Room to black.  With this arrangement, you can light your preview and render without adding any additional light to the scene.

Edit:  Glad to see that works for you.

To parent an infinite light:

  1. change it to a Spot

  2. parent it to whatever

  3. change it back to infinite

Interesting to know about that workaround for parenting an infinite light - many thanks

I discovered recently that if you have Dimension3D's 'XO' (eXtended Object Manager) script - available in the marketplace - it will parent infinite lights without any messing about.
