It does lag a bit when applying and using LIE, as it has to do a number of things. It is normal.

First render out of the box with 4.5.  Had to do some postwork on her because he elbows and hip were all jacked up.  Looked like you could see the individual polygons in a couple area.  Did some fiddling warming up the overall color and smoothed it all over with my favorite diffusion filter.

On another note.....a few pages back, when news of Tony Scott's deah emerged, Paolo mentioned the series of short films entitled The Hire starring Clive Owens.....Just finished watching them, and have to agree, the last one, entitled Beat The Devil was by far the best!

I was asked for some Red Sonja type images from a friend of mine for a story he is writing. The figure wasn't hard using genesis, but after looking at a few images of Red Sonja, finding the outfit was a bit of a challenge. The top is one from Rhiannon retextured and using displacement for the coinmail effect. The bottom is a chainmail panty from RDNA with a dynamic part I made for the loincloth and the same displacemnet texture.

Now I need to come up with some enemies and some scenes.

I've had that happen as well Charley. Using the texture atlas with MLIE saves a lot of the lag issues in Reality, but you will certainly notice a loss of definition in a closer shot as the Rez tops out at 2K. If I wanted the Lux quality and an MLIE, I ended up just editing the texture directly and saving a copy. Lots less hastle, and I can make matching normal/bump, etc maps if needed.

Thanks Xandi. We just learned that she will most likely be in for the next six weeks and limited to the space between the bed and the toilet. Long story short, she's 27 weeks pregnant and had her water break very unexpectedly while eating dinner Monday. Bed rest in the hospital til the baby comes, but hopefully it will wait a bit longer to further develop and mature. 

I ought to be reading the forum more as I just sit in the room and keep her company, but I haven't, yet.

I got this PM'ed to me on D/A, Great work on the current series. You are really getting good at this. Looks so real. Glad some folks are noticing the "reality / lux difference!

Anyone have issues with their Genesis content after updating to 4.5?  I didn't install the Genesis starters essentials because I was worried that it would mess with my previous Genesis stuff.  Then I went to make a character and Genesis wasn't there at all. So then I installed it and now all of my Genesis Evolution stuff is gone. So I found the file for Genesis Evoltion: Head Morphs and reinstalled, but nothing shows in my shaping tab.  Same thing with my Evolution body morphs.  As far as I can tell all of the expressions arethere under the posing tab.   

A lot of what was on the Shaping tab previously, is now on the Parameters tab.

Ugh.. now I know why good textures are hard to find.  I'm pretty damned good with photoshop when I put my mind and creative juices to it; but, this ain't easy.  I'll make a texture that looks good at first glance.  Then I'll render it and start picking out so many flaws that I end up trashcanning the whole thing.  Good crisp hard edges are becoming my nemesis.

It's not there. Checked every tab, uninstalled and reinstalled the Genesis starter and Evolution to make sure it was all in the right place, still nothing.

I am really hating 4.5 right now.  Nothing new I'm going to use and broke what I had and used all the time. And my computer isn't showing the restore point from before I updated, just a random one from yesterday. 

Edit I just realize I am missing a bunch of morphs too

Re edit found them not sure what to tell you Brad Are you looking in the shapin paramaters tab or the main parameters tab cause its not in shaping . Shark man due to not having a mammoth 62G system or insane render farm I often use PS finishing touches too..

I went back to 4.0.3.47, all problems solved, everything showing up where it belongs.

No, just found the old version in my Daz account, installed. It uninstalled 4.5, everything is fine.

Ok will keep it in mind I want to try working in 4.5 see if its less slugish and the new autofit with auto smoothing modifyer 1st. If its not much different I'll prolly roll back to glad I saved my Reality 2.0115 Rar file

If it were not my use of genesis & facegen I would most likely have gone back to 3. I know alot of folks in my "other" community who still use it.

Just found out that (some) shoes don't fit partially scaled figures. Though it may be fixed as a by product of the earlier hair fitting problem.

The next one is a bit frustrating. I have the image in my mind, but transferring that to a scene is something else. One scene has already been scrapped, not happy with it. Now I'm trying something else LOL.

LOL like I mentioned before im OCD about noise in my renders. I use the blur tool in PS quite often to smoothe some minor ones out when it gets to that point.  I know that no 3Delight will give me these results! Even with the new 10.0 or whatever...

I love Reality and Lux, but it's like online shopping (which I do constantly and absolutly hate), When I pay for something I want to open the front door as soon as the checkout is complete to find what I've just bought sitting there - it's mine, it's paid for so where the heck is it?
