Subject: poseray

i am wondering how export a certian "group" in poseray. i have come across a lightwave file that contains several items which are grouped per item. i can view them seperately but cant export each group indiviually. is there a way?

i am extremely new to poseray and have basically used it once to export some vehicles which textures got lost in a direct import to poser.

thank you in advance

You go to "Groups" tab and left-click once on the icon at left, that will hide it.

PoseRay will only export the groups that are visible (it skips hidden ones)

i have tried that seems to only keep the file hidden however the actual file still contains the "full" file. i thought they were skipped but when checking "groups" they are there and can be unhidden. the exported obj it is still full as well

ty for the response

I checked before posting (in case memory failed) and for me it only exports visible Groups and the material associated with that group (you don't have to hide both).

I am using version 3.12.2.456 which is current non-beta version

i just checked mine and i am running the beta version- that might be the issue then.

is the non bata vision available for free also?

again thank you for the responses

I just tried the beta and group export does not work the same as regular.

The regular version is also free at

awsome- ty for the link.

plus i am glad it was just due to the version i was using rather than my lack of knowledge.

again ty i am going to dl it now.

i just realized after looking a bit closer- there is an option "remove non visible groups" in groups that sorted it out- it also worked fine in beta.

at any rate ty for your help
