I loaded this up in my gallery as well. Looking for some suggestions on how to soften some of the harsher lines and so on.

Looking good :) I'd be tempted to blur the edge of the light on the water a little, it'll help it look a little more real. T.

The light needs to ripple with the water. Ripple edges, some dark spots in the main part. What happened to you is that the water is a flat object with bump height in the texture rather than a rippled object. You can either post render ripple it with Photoshop or remake the water with actual contours in it. Try a flat terrain with one of the PTE fractals in it. http://www.chesco.com/~cjcigas/tutorial/pte/

Here's an example of the different techniques I suggested above. The top image is a flat water with photoshop ocean ripple effect. The lower one is a PTE terrain flattened to 0.10 in height in the attributes section.
