Well, after accumulating years of cruft, and with the updates, etc. for 4.5, I've decided to do a clean install of ALL of my content. Split up into multiple runtimes by generation, and so forth.

Of course, to make things easier, I'll only install what I'm actually going to use... :-/

Wish me luck.

I still need to go fully DS4.5 but what is putting me off is the fact that I make my own props and as yet have no idea how the file stucture (what goes where, and what to save stuff as), also to make matters worse the plug-in I use, PP2 does not seem to want to work as it used to.

One of these days I will upgrade my system, hopefully by then I'll have sorted my act out and I'll will be able to go DS4 only.

I had to release Doc, the constant whining, thumping and rattling of chains got annoying.  It must have been a bit chilly trying to thumb a lift wearing nothing but a bra and panties last night (I want them back Doc!), If Doc was lucky he might have scored with one of the wierdo taxi drivers we have round here!  hehe

Hate to be off-topic, but I know that there are a few Macintosh users in here, such as Paolo. What I want to ask is if any of you have upgraded to 10.8.2, the latest Mountain Lion upgrade/update. If so, does DAZStudo4.5Pro work well with it?

I've got 10.8.1 now, and DS4.5Pro is working very well. I'd hate to mess anything up.

I'm hoping someone can give me some advice.  I want to do a forest scene, maybe with a little stream in it. Trees, grass, etc.  Does anyone know of product for sale that is like that, even without the stream, that renders well?

Have you tooled around much with Bryce? 

On my freebie hunts, I've come across a very nice meadow scene with trees and a great stream running through it. I haven't had much luck with the bryce-daz bridge, but I have exported as obj's and imported into Studio. After that, you can move things about as you please and set materials for Reality as normal. Give me a few, I'll see if I can find a link.

It's an option, anyway.

The artist also has a ton of nice scenes ready to go for Bryce, and as said, you can export to your heart's content.

Stonemason also has a fantastic woods set at the Daz site, magical forrest or something of that nature. 

Correction: The Enchanted Forrest. It looks SPECTACULAR in Lux, as does all his stuff, with a bit of material tweaks of course! A bit spendy, but it might go on sale again at the end of the month with the PA sale wrap-up, if they do that as they usually do. Adding an obj stream and convert to water, or find a spot in the geometry for a water plane to sink into, etc etc.

Ok I built a scene (look a few posts above with the bulding at night) when I add characters that I saved with reality savings their clothes are back to full glossy from matte and it wiped out all my street lapmp and windows converted to light settings in my building scene.
