well, there are other possible deffinitions of "stick" but I'll leave you guys alone to think of them   (I only drove manual gears when I was there too, auto felt lazy and wrong, any yet now i'm back in the UK I drive an auto! - well, the car anyways, my truck is manual. hehe) Abi.

The penguins are The Emperor penguin and Emperor chick from Ken Gilliland's "Penguins" product at DAZ.  There are like 8 other varieties of penguin in the set as well as some poses to use with them.

Easy render, hard choices.  There are 4 or 5 different film responses that I really like with this image, but finally decided to go B&W-- Agfapan APX 400 (with sepia added in PS).

Thanks, I do think this one is my favorite after staring at them for a while.

The comic is always going in my head, I'll play around with a panel or two sometimes, but really waiting until I feel like my Daz skills are good enough to tackle something that big.

Bump came out a bit strong on this one.  On the plus side, hair turned out really well.   Not sure what the deal was; but, it was looking pretty good after only a couple hundred passes.

I think the problem may be set specific. When I made the locker room render above the room material settings did not get modified when I merged the girls into it. Just now I started another render using the outdoor scene and merging one of the girls that had no prior Reality settings wiped ou the buldings settings and converted lights once again...

On another topic since we are using Reality / lux does it make a difference if one applies the DS MATS to sets when included?

I don't suppose the Doctor would be interested in some Brown Sugar?

I hope I don't sound like a wet blanket but I'm getting a bit concerned that all the off-topic messages might alienate people who look for this thread as a place to see Reality-based workflows and renders. Especially new users.

I'm not saying to not have the friendly back-and-forth every now and then but it would be great if we can have a place where Reality techniques are showcased and discussed.

Thats the effect I was going for for dramatic lighting  to reflect night time

Its one ibl night skies of Reality and one mesh waaayyy up at an angle just so one can see the Scene & ufo ( I really like what I was able to get out that frebbie model with metal chrome & glass settings) Certain windows are converted to light along with the street lamps. The whole thing took less then 2 hours!

Edit this and the other render I spoted are part of a commission for a client. I am looking to sell more projects. I want to build a monster tower rendering system by next summer. I can still use my i7 notebook to build and export scenes to Lux I do beleive there is a way to start or export from one machine then render it on another. Another great Lux advantage.

Pull up your boot straps Doc, I know it's been a hard week for you but apologizing is a sign off weakness.  I there for will not apologize, but I will promise to try and control myself.....  At least until the next time.   After all I'm just a horse and all horses need a slap on the rump now and then just to get their minds right. :lol:
