Hey all,

Just giving you all a heads up that Kristi and I are now on a mission to get the Freestuff area cleaned up.  We are starting from the back and working our way forward.

This has been needing to be done for quite awhile so we are going full steam ahead and getting it done.

What this means is that there will be items being removed completely that are discovered to be dead, and also we will be moving items that do not have thumbnails to the review area, and if we cannot find a thumbnail located on your site that pertains to the item here, we will place a temporary thumbnail on it and reactivating it. {It doesn't look so hot but I was in a hurry}

Since we will be going thru this area daily, and with pretty good speed, we wont be notifying anyone by email or sitemail, so we need to ask you to go thru your items and make sure they work and have proper thumbnails.

Also, if you know of any provider that hasn't been here in awhile but you are still in touch with, you may want to let them know soon that their items need checking.

If one of your items ends up with the temp thumbnail, do not worry..you can replace it at any time..just remember that all items uploaded to Renderosity 'must' have a thumbnail.

ok as far as i know lmao mine still work jthay all point to sharecg.com as i havent uploaded any to rendo servers as of yet

Got mine cleaned out.  Sorry I'd forgotten to take care of this housekeeping task.

o.k., that's great.  it was like pulling teeth getting bobby to do this IIRC.

Would have been nice to receive a warning email or something to say that there was a clean up coming instead of finding out this way, since I rarely read the forums I did not know. And they were still active but not anymore.

Ghostly12, it is up to members to check on their accounts regularly..this includes checking any links you provide for freebies offered. Any items that were deleted were deleted because there was a dead link...we do not delete live downloads.

Maybe so, but even a warning posted at the top of the freestuff section when people go to check what new downloads there are would have been fair.

Like I said I don't always read the forums and didn't know and was expected to know that there was a cleanup happening.
