Subject: What is your favorite Content Creater?

kimbersue ( ) posted Fri, 19 October 2012 at 9:27 AM · edited Sun, 02 February 2025 at 3:25 PM

Hello,

I have been looking at Content Creater to use for giving away clothing on my web site. I was wondering what everyone's favorite Content Creater is? I don't really understand them well enough to know what is the best.

I have been looking at http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/content-creater-pro/65425 but can't find any instruction to tell me how to use it.

Thanks

I'm not sure what it's supposed to do either, but creater is not proper word - it should be creator.

Well, there's certainly not much information on that page, but if you click the Editorial Tab, you do get some more information, including a link to a demo:

Content Creater V 3 is the latest version of Content Creater.
Content Creater creates a complete, tested runtime directory, ready for selling.
Content Creater is a tool for designers, who sell her products at different market places.
Content Creater is programmed by a Contentdesigner for Contentdesigners.
Content Creater is one of the fastest ways has to created around your content.
Content Creater can help you, to create clean content.
Content Creater has some tools for the compliance with the copyrights of the other designers.
Content Creater is concurring for the requirements of any Market Places.
Content Creater gives you more time for creative work.

I'm really not sure what this does either, except to create blank folders for you?  If you're really interested, I'd definitely try the demo.

I got the demo and from what I read it is suppose to help you package what you have made to sell or give away. But there is not instruction on how to use it.

The demo cannot write a file list and does not have the help files.

From the look of it, this app will scan the application folders for the extensions you want and then give you a list.  You can then pick and chose which files in the lists you want to be collated into a runtime package.  This runtime package is supposed to meet most market place requirements as well as the stricter Runtime conventions of Poser7 and below.

Unless you have a large number of files scattered over a variety of folders, you probably don't need this.

Check the free stuff.  There used to be some runtime creation freebies in there.

I always thought a content creator was someone who created content. But I also thought a printer was someone who printed things, and that I knew what one was because I was one. Now I find that printer is something that sits on the desk next to a PC, and I can tell you it's been very uncomfortable squatting up here with a corner of the monitor poking me in the backside every time I move.

Acording to the  readme from Content Creater Version 3 Pro, quote:

"Content Creater creates a complete and tested runtime folder
ready for selling your products at any Marketplaces."

As this is something that I do myself from time to time, using Windows Explorer to do it, I would have to say, I and I hope this does not sound too conceited, that I am my favourite content creator. And that I enjoy creating content, because it gives me an excuse to climb down from my desk, and stop being a printer for a while.

I am not going to buy anything that lists has a blantant error in the folder tree.

If I had a nickle for ever time a woman told me to get lost, I could buy Manhattan.

I'm not sure after reading that, either.  Makes me want to whip out a Samuel L Jackson impersonation, though.  :D

I had read about this in an article which I will probably never find the web page about it again .. lol  But when I looked it up on the store was not sure what was so great about it and now I see I am not the only one.

Maybe there should be a spell check requirement for products.

That'd bugger up about 90% of the stuff here, then.  :)
