Subject: Tyler GND AT SM for free but...........

I don't think you actually need to have Tyler in the scene any more.  Use the WW menu to choose what you want converted, and which figures to convert between.

But how do you convert from Ryan2 to Ryan2 and what does that accomplish?

Tyler isn't in the list of figures to convert to.

I've had some success with Morphing Clothes and copy joint zones. Haven't tried everything yet.

It allows you to make the clothes fit a morphed figure.  Say, if you have a dress for Vicky but it doesn't fit the size 34F boobs you put on her.  WW will let you fit the dress to her morphed body.

For Tyler, it would probably be easiest to make a single morph for him. See question 9 here:

http://www.philc.net/WW2_FAQ.php

Name the morph "tyler" or something easy to remember, then you will see it and be able to choose it off the menu.

Eventually, WW will ask you to locate the Ryan 2 CR2.  Navigate to the Tyler CR 2 and pick it.

Depending on the clothing item, you may have to use the deflate/inflate, smooth, etc., to make it look right.

Quote - > Quote - Anyone know how to get the Tyler installer to install to a Runtime outside Poser Pro 2012? It will not let me do it. It keep saying  Poser can not be found. Help?

Why? I have all my characters in their own separate Runtime and not in the Programs folder where Poser's installed. So I need him in that outside Runtime with the rest of my characters but the installer don't wanna. m(_ _)m

My assumption is that you're on a Mac? If so, there is an issue we discovered yesterday afternoon: the options for customizing the install location had been errantly reset by our development tools. We will be issuing an update to the project with tweaks to the Mac installer before too long that include true customize options. My sincere apologies. We did not intend to restrict where you could install Miki or Tyler. And the installers are purely there to assure that the application level support files are installed properly (faceroom, talk designer, universal pose .dat).

Thanks for your patience.

Cooper

Actually I'm working with the Windows installer. Probably more like a pebcak error on my part. The installer didn't seem to like my stand in for the Poser.exe, I still may have done something wrong. Either case, with the real Poser.exe it does let me install to any Runtime.

Quote - > Quote - > Quote - I couldn't get WW to recognize Tyler's morphs at all no matter what I did.

Did you point it to the Tyler CR2 when it asked for Ryan 2?

Worked for me.  The image is a quick and dirty conversion.  M3 clothing and pose.  Could be better if I worked on it a little more, no doubt.

I guess I don't know how to use WW properly. I thought I was pointing it at Tyler, since he was selected in the scene. When I asked it to analyse, it said there were no morphs to analyse, which I thought was strange.

Maybe Phil's site has some additional instructions that I need to read. I have only been using WW for a couple of weeks.

I managed to get WW to analyse the GND Ryan morph no problem. Is the suggestion above, to make a further FBM using the option in the Poser figure menu likely to get me better results?

I am finding it is necessary to open up joint editor and make adjustments for most items I'm trying to convert (from Michael 4) though... but that's to be expected, of course.... isn't it?

Some clothing items I have, I'm somewhat tempted to have a crack at manually fitting them in a modeller and re-rigging... which will mean learning that process... but I'm sure that would be a worthwhile learning exercise for me.

Mickey took forever to download even with Broadband, perhaps the server was really bogged down.

I hope we get regular updates for Ryan and Miki clothing items--that is we receive notification I mean.  I don't like WWing much.

Quote - > Quote - If you select Miki and delete, her eyelashes stay in the scene. Interesting.

Yeah I think people were asking for this.

I wonder if there was a problem with Miki 3 lashes

Nope, no problem really. Darrell wanted to try making lashes that were more realistic than the painted on fair we are so used to in the Poser-verse, so he did. That's pretty much the entire reason they're there. I think it was a good call.

In fact, if you want the original lashes, Go to the Eyelashes section of the head's morph area and you'll see that NoEyelash is set to 1. Turn it to 0 to get the original Miki 3 lashes back.

mylemonblue ( ) posted Thu, 27 September 2012 at 8:10 AM · edited Thu, 27 September 2012 at 8:11 AM

Wow, good thinking. The choice of original vs new more realistic lashes makes great sense. d-(^.^)z

I guess I'm just not getting it. I can now get it analyze the GND-R morph. Great. But when it comes to getting that into clothing, I don't see how it's done because I'm only given the option to select the Ryan2 figure. And Ryan2 doesn't have that morph.

After analyzing, you'll get the option to pick that morph (if you have full body morphs checked).  Pick it, and let WW start the conversion.

Also, it's infuriating because every time I try to follow these instructions, hitting "cancel" doesn't work and I have to force close Poser from task manage to stop it from spending 20 minutes converting something.

Ryan is the first hi-res model I have worked and many polygons doesn't mean that morphing is easier, however his face is quite morphable

Here is the default Ryan, Reshaped Eyes only and Reshaped Face

Are you using Wardrobe Wizard 2?

Quote - But WW doesn't seem to give the option to navigate to a CR2.

It will eventually.  It's one of the last steps, after a lot of analyzing has been done.  It will chug away, then a window will pop up.

Choose Ryan 2 to Ryan 2.  After you click convert, and WW has worked awhile, a window will pop up.

And 20 minutes seems like a lot of time.  I guess it depends on the outfit and the speed of your computer, but it only takes a couple of minutes for me.

I'm using whatever's in Poser Pro 2012.

After it's done all the analyzing a window pops up to tell me it's done. I never get the option to add Tyler morphs. I only get the option to add Ryan2 morphs.

I've converted lots of things for figures that show up in the supported figure "convert to" column. But this is simply not working for me at all.

Bleh. He was free. If WW isn't going to support an easy solution, I don't have to use him.

Sorry it's not working for you.  I bought WW 2, so perhaps my version is a little different from yours.

You might try using clothes other than Ryan's. I think it might be confusing you, converting from Ryan 2 to Ryan 2.  Here's Tyler wearing Kate's clothes.  There's a little pokethru, but there's a little on her, too.  This is with no adjustments (no inflate or deflate, etc.) - right out of WW.

Moriador... the option to browse to a CR2 is apparently presented when you tick the "Copy Weight Maps" option. I only just twigged this crucial aspect myself... after finally reading the popup help! Er... whoops, this is where I've been going entirely wrong then too!

Off to try those Tyler / Miki4 conversions again then!

Oops. Sorry, I should have asked which options she had checked.

I've been using WW to convert clothes for Antonia-WM and Vicky 4-WM for the past few months.  I guess I've forgotten what it's like for non-weight-mapped figures.

I wondered why I was just getting weird joint center (or whatever) issues... I had none of the weight maps transferred to the clothing!

Quote - Ryan suffers from the Default Poser Male Strange Eye Syndrome

For some reason James, Simon and Ryan all have a very unrealistic and rare eyeshape which is not neutral enough for a base figure & this makes it really hard not to recognise on what figure a character is based on.

This is precisely my problem. The Tyler texture is excellent, and I can pretty much shape the face as I want with the Face Room and the available morphs.

But whatever I try, I still have these Ryanesque eyes. How can I change the eye shape to something more "normal" as pitklad has done?

Actually I was planning to upload this earlied and just got bored to make the zip file

it is now up on ShareCG (and soon here in renderosity)

You just have to apply the pose that will load the morph on your character via a pmd file
It is not necessary to have PMD enabled the morph will still load fine on your character
You can resave your character on the library or use the pose every time you like
