Subject: odd transparencies

I've been having trouble with transparencies in poser. As you can see with both of these dresses that the transparencies are acting strange. You can see the legs in both images but a render shows otherwise. Some objects are even worse. I don't believe it's a mess issue because it seems to happen with any object with a trans map and if I turn the transparency off the problem goes away. Switching from opengl to screed doesn't help and my video card is up to date. Am I the only one who has this problem? Any ideas how to fix it?

Are you using Gamma Correction in your render settings, and, if so, are you setting gamma to 1 on the transparency maps?

You can check "Enhance multilayer transparency" to have a correct display in the OpenGL preview. but that slows things down quite a bit. Alternatively try the Sreed display.

I usually switch the display of those objects to lit wireframe if they bug me too much.

How does gamma correction effect the preview?

Sreed doesn't help. "Enhance multilayer transparency" helps some but not much.
